Dang everyone is talking about how good bjork is, obviously, but lets give it up to the harpist/pianist/accordionist. She multitask so much throughout the song.
Like this song I hear musicianship not assembly line like, producer driven dribble, Bjork has a marvelous voice and she sounds like someone who makes music on her terms.
You'll be given love You'll be taking care of You'll be given love You have to trust it Maybe not from the sources, you have poured yours.. Maybe not from the directions, you are staring at Trust your head around It is all around you All is full of love It is all around you.. You just ain't receiving.. Your phone is off the hook.. Your doors are all shut.. And be the little angel! All is full of love... All is full of love... All... All is full of love... Child... All is full of love... You just ain't receiving.. Your phone is off the hook.. Your doors are all shut.. All is full of love... All is full of love...
@@davetinoco No one seems to know what she's singing after "Your doors are shut". But the last word isn't, "Taken". I don't know what it is. I wish I did.
@@fusehenry I was referring to the “you’ll be taking care of,” should be “taken care of.” However on the line you are referring to, I read that it is gibberish Bjork invented. She has a little language she uses of made up sounds that sound like words.
I love Bjork's work, I love opera, classical music and jazz - Bjork's unique wonderful eccentric electric range - fuses pop with all of these genres - refreshing inspirational - Thank you - from LovePellegrini x
I love this song, and i like to interpret it in a sense that shes not really saying that everything is full of love but more like there is atleast one thing if not more that is full of love for you, but even if there is only one thing that loves you if you aren't open to the idea and feeling of love then you will never feel it from that one source... so its useless unless you let yourself be loved. and thats what i think. and again i effin love bjork, her music makes me feel very peaceful
This is my favourite song by hers.. and specially in this live perfomance I loved the orchestra in the beginning! Good job everyone involved! And to everyone calling this "hippie-like" or "naive": I really don't think it is. It's a great message combined with deep, beautiful music.
It's so amazing to have these close up views of concerts, so you can get your fill of artists you love. Really, you can go to a concert every day and fill up your soul.
I don't think she would have a problem saying twist. she could easily say an i sound instead of a schwa. I really don't care, it's already one of the best songs ever made
I think a lot of her lyrics can be interpreted in different ways depending on the listener. Personally, I didn't get a hippie sort of "all you need is love" type of message from this song. Rather, I took it as meaning that you can find "love" in the beauty of life and nature, in sort of a pantheistic way. Maybe that's just me...
accoustics. In this recording the orchestra comes out a lot. In the concert in Japan the orchestra sounds quieter and the chorus comes out a lot there, hehe.
La versión que siempre busque La versión de una de las mejores canciones de ella Una canción de amor, la más tierna ... "Todo esta lleno de amor, todo alrededor de ti" ;_; [I LOVE THAT VERSION!!!]
@kurtsbyotch kinda like in the movie Under The Tuscan Sun with Diane Lane where she tells someone that she wants to be surrounded by love, and Diane Lane really means she wants to find the love of her life with a man and keeps poring herself into finding a man, but a friend tells her that she is already surrounded by love, essentially, because she has friends who love her. So, she may not have exactly what she wants, but has what she needs.
I answered the phone and found the world within myself, the one I am part of. Stardust thinking of Stardust. The strangest thing is, I am neither very religious, nor drunk. Björk sounds so peaceful in this song, it's a Stigmata in my heart...
I guess you have a point. Her voice does come out a lot more without the beat on the foreground, but for me it's a combination of the 2. Bjorks singing, and the slow, thump of the beat. The bass makes me feel all warm inside, and her voice makes me float ^_^. I don;t agree with you however about my PC speakers. I listened to some other live reordings, and the bass was much more audible there.
just imagine her doing 'up where we belong' or 'my heart will go on' or any of the other American Idol standards. it'd be hilarious. i don't think the judges would know what to do with her.
FrancoMscs That's not even from this earth, anymore... Björk has always been and will always be the most musical and heavenly creature on earth for me :]
