+Corinne Walker Bjork has always experimented with sound, both in the studio AND onstage. A pioneer, she inspires legions of fans, and many other artists as well.
+fandomlikes i'm pretty sure the original track has quite a bit of electronic experimentation as well; it could be the vocal mix for this live show is perhaps slightly muddier than the a studio recording and mix.
when you see the purity of Inspiration brought out by a human in languages understood or not it brings the masses to knees and know that worship of creativity is stronger than any faith.
+Jay Hansen The song is written about her brother who wasn't working at the time and was basically just giving all sortsa excuses instead of going out and finding a job. I think the video truly represents that. It shows how she tries to rescue him despite the lyrics being very unforgiving, reflecting that she truly does love her brother despite the fact that she's upset with his behaviour.
You can thank Graham Massey of 808 State for the instrumental. He wasn't doing any industrial at that time, but was heavy into acid-jazz-techno (for the lack of another word for it). Listen to "Ex:El" & "Don Solaris", you'll see it for yourself ;-)
BJORK IS A HELLISH SCORPIO WOMAN!!dont mess with her talent..unmatched by any other kind iof intensity..shes both death and rebirth..extreme! respect for Bjork
I said that because I don't understand why just about every Bjork video has comments about Lady Gaga. It seems to me that Gaga comments are more relative at Gaga's video's.
ugh who mentioned the gaga here - really no comparison - loved seeing this song used in the film Suckerpunch - introduced the artist to a new generation - loved her since Sugarcubes... keep it coming Bjork
@MrCristiaan It does sound weird, like it's auto-tuned and prerecorded off a tape machine, but I think she's just running a bit of distortion and maybe even a filter on her voice, and the video is very slightly off sync.
I have nothing against Gaga, I only wrote that because it makes no sense to have comments about Gaga at a Bjork video just as it makes no sense to have comments about Bjork at a Gaga video.
