Obrigada por esse trabalho maravilhoso. Fico fascinada o quão lúcida e inteligente essa mulher é. E como ela conseguia ter paciência com tantos jornalistas ridículos... Bateu foi pouco na mulher em Bangkok kkkkkkk
I especially appreciate this era right before Homogenic. In almost every regard Post era was Björks relationship with the world. And i can tell that there was a breaking point for her. The Bangkok incident (legendary), the disturbing Lopez incident, that whole tour and the toll it took on her voice. These interviews are more of her explaining her stance with fame. Explaining her intentions. She is fascinating in her differentness, but really shes not different she is just brave. Self-confident. Extremely down to earth. Shallow people, and especially the 90s American music press, actively chose to focus on her “quirkiness”, “foreign-ness”, the racist af “eskimo-ness” because American culture is lazy and greedy and want things easy and fast. I know at this time she already had Homogenic cooking and brewing. And probably debating on making a Post Part 2 or to take an authentic gamble and make a completely different album that has true darkness and beauty in it. And the gamble paid off. This is the true artist. I dont think the press or the world treated her the same after Homogenic. I think after that everyone backed off. And took her as a serious artist. Genius. I think as time marches on, Björk and these priceless interview clips, will be regarded as one of the greatest musicians ever.
