Volta goes from "oh there's barely any instrument here" to "WTF I'm overwhelmed by all of this stuff in my ears, my poor ears aaaaaaaaaaaaaa" and I fu**ing love it.
Nothing will prepare you for Volta, trust me. Everything people say about it is true, at the same time tho... Medúlla is one of my favorite from hers, quite original and gothic and I remember it beginning the division of ol’time Björk fans and hardcore I’ll-follow-to-whatever-selfindulgent-weirdassshit-soundscape you take me stans. You’ve been warned 😉 love your videos.
After Vespertine, Bjork's Musical Evolution and Adventures are Unpredictable and Intriguing as She is. From Medulla onward is Where The Genius That is Bjork's Mind Shines Thru. Many will Have Really hot or Really cold reaction. As others stated, Check out of TRIUMPH OF THE HEART video 😉🙃🙃🙃
I'm truly amazed you connected Who Is It? to Vespertine because it WAS intended to be on that album! However, Mama B felt that the song had a more "forceful" sound than Vespertine and wanted to hold onto it. Once she began work on Medúlla and decided that the album would be mostly vocals, she made a new arrangement for Who Is It? to fit in with the album.
Gibberish is your favorite word! 🤣 Medúlla is a f*cking masterpiece! I'm glad you're taking the time to go in this journey. Medúlla is so punk to me, mostly only vocals, who else can do that?
Your reactions are so interesting, you describe your thoughts and interpretations for each song with such depth and it shows that you have a lot of respect for the music and are open to understanding whats going on behind it. Great video
Who Is It is great, but the music video version (with the bells) is just amazing and beautiful. It's next level stuff, gives me lovely goosebumps dancing along my spine.
Please, you have to react to Björk live ... first to Hyperballad ... then to Generous Palmstroke, Pluto, Bachelorette ... pfff so many, to all their concert at the Royal Opera House :) and Voltaïc Live in Paris💕💕💕
I always enjoy watching reactions to Bjork. But if I may make a comment, I wouldn’t put so much emphasis on the meaning of the songs. It’s poetry and may just mean something different to each listener. Tell us more about how you feel about the music in general without always jumping to a lyrics analysis. Keep it up!
Nico, do you also speak or understand spanish? because if you do... I recommend you to listen to Puro Minage, Tarantula and Lubna by Mónica Naranjo... They are amazing albums!!!
I don't care about lyrics. It's always the music that interests me. It's fine if there are vocals, but I don't really care about their meanings. So Vökuro is a great song to me and I don't understand why you can't get involved.
:( i am a big fan of bjork. But medulla..... I only love desired constellation. All the voices screams everywhere . No harmony. No sens no Logic. Ancestor is the most horrible « song » in humanity . In a closed room. With ancestor repeat again and again , I think I can kill my self. No no. This album is really bad. During the tour before she « test » this songs but with electronic. And the song was good. But one far she decide to remove electric and do a vocal album. The idea is great. But my ears bleeding :( next
