Physical masculinity (being big and strong) is appealing to the male gaze and helps deter other males so you have higher personal reproductive success but it does not appeal to the female gaze, being big and strong is just becoming an average polish truckdriver and is not going to get you girls. The female gaze and what they are attracted to is only whats on a genetic level.

He went to this country shortly after the premiere of "DiV", which was also very positively received there. Björn Andrésen himself was greeted in Japan like an IDOL. He was so popular in Japan mostly because of his beautiful appearance. Blond hair, blue eyes, pale complexion - that's what the Japanese like. Björn appeared in some commercials there, recorded some songs in Japanese (you can still sing them in karaoke clubs in Japan), and posed for fashion magazines and for manga artists. He was the model for many manga characters with an angelic appearance from those times. The Japanese still remember him and he still has a large group of loyal fans.
