Way to go! A beautiful pure sporan with a velvety color. Very expressive singing, showing joy in what he does. You love music, you feel it and understand it. It's amazing how quickly you changed your voice range from soprano, baritone and bass-baritone. It's very demanding and full of admiration that you passed so smoothly at such an almost lightning fast pace. Incredible !!! However, take your time so as not to overpower such a beautiful voice. Danke schön Dieter, überaus wertgeschätzt. Mathias is already in his voice change process now, practicing much every day to master his new bass-baryton voice. It'll take time for sure, but progress is good. Stay tuned on this channel for his continued development. New studio recordings are coming up. 🙂

Thank you, and no, of course not Axel Rykkvin yet. It is really a great honour to just being compared to him. At this point, Bjørn Mathias had been singing for less than 2 years, and he has developed substantially after this, now growing into a bass-barytone. Progress has been good, and he was just recently awarded the gold prize in the 2023 World Classical Music Awards with his interpretation of Mozart's aria "O Isis und Osiris" from the opera "The magic flute": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1hISHTmAvoI.html

Thank you for your constructive critisism. At this point he was only 12 and had been learning to sing for about a year and a half. We recorded this in a morning practice session, and had some great fun in doing it. After this he has practiced and developed a lot more (into a bass-baryton), and I can assure you that he is a lot better now on both nuance and interpretation, also on Händel arias. 🙂
