I am a 49ers season ticket holder and I also feel that the 49ers should have kept him. I have a friend who has an inside connection, and he told me that the reason they cut BJ Daniels is that he was getting a huge ego after his success in last year's pre-season, and that he started going around saying that he would be able to get the starting job soon.....so the 49ers cut him so as to preserve chemistry in the locker room. I think that this was an incredibly short-sighted move by the 49ers. It's far easier to give a 23-year old young man an "attitude adjustment" than it is to train him to be a good NFL QB.
I'm a Hawks fan, and I agree with some of your points, that it's about how you finish not how you start. I'm not one of those bragging kind, but I have a question. What do those past rings have to do with this year's Niners?
this is true!! its not about how you start its how you FINISH! giants are a good example and so are the ravens.. even tho last year was given to them.. they got hot towards the end and playoffs
when this guy gets his chance, say when kaep goes down on dec. 8. haha nah but if he gets his chance I feel he will surprise a lot of people especially with how shifty he is and the cannon arm hes got. He had some huge plays back at USF and his future looks pretty bright. Go Seahawks baby

Harbaugh doesn't have many mistakes in his 49er era, but BJ Daniels is one that will haunt the team until they offer Seattle something to get him back. If you follow the Bill Walsh path, having someone press Kaepernick and steal the job only makes the team stronger. I think BJ see's the field faster than most people who step on it, he's better than Kaep yesterday. His accuracy is pinpoint. He escapes like Steve Young did. Trent Baalke has had 2 chances to keep very talented under the radar QB's in Nate Davis & BJ Daniels (but BJ was more Jim's idea). Baalke can fix that if we get BJ back where he belongs.

Um I think it does because he just got replaced by John Skelton so he must be pretty bad. The only reason they drafted him was to be a scout team Russell Wilson mimic for week 2. That didn't work out either. GO HAWKS

1 good drive against 4th stringers and he's supposed to be our 2nd string? He's not ready. Put him in against the #1's and you'll quickly see that. He's a good guy to stash as #3 and maybe next year he'll be ready. Colt will be #2 for now.

First of all, you're making circular arguments (listing Jags and Panthers as bad teams the Hawks have beaten, but then listing the Seahawks as a quality opponent the 49ers have faced). No one would argue the 49ers are a bad team, but they've got some holes in their team. So do the Hawks right now. If you're arguing the 49ers will only get better with players getting healthy, that might be even more so for the Hawks. The game in Candlestick will be a huge game.

I like all the people for daniels but the fact is is that all are qbs are young so he will never be the future of the team like all of u are saying. And besides I think that where he is putting all theses qbs is good.
Yeah I'm not sweating anything you just said. Alex Smith is 4-0 right now. He's a good qb and better than Kaepernick obviously. And why are you talking about last year anyways? Oh and Wilson beat the Texans and destroyed the 49ers. By the way I guarantee the Texans beat the niners by double digits this week. Kaepernick has never beaten a team with a top level defense that wasn't missing its starting qb, unlike Wilson who is a winner. Oh and how does it feel to be 2 1/2 games behind the Seahawks?
´few minutes ago the 49ers trimmed the final roster, I can´t believe that they reléase the long snapper jennings, a just thank you in a photo on the niners 49ers on instagram, that sucks, a real team with gouts and feeligs should keep a player like him, and Hawkins and Chuck jacobs out of the team??? another wrong decisition who made that??, what happen Jim? Youre gonna regret for not keeping those fantastic players. But anyway the niners prefereed to keep a tons of linebackers, who cares..

Bottom line Hawks are 4-0 and 49ers are 2-2 (oh and that is a fact) and that is all that matters TODAY. Last year was LAST YEAR.
