This is absolutely officially my favorite song of all time. In fact Bjork occupies 3 of my top 20 songs with Hyperballad at #3 for those keeping score lol. Move over Joni, Dylan, Simon, Stevens, King, Sting, Gabriel, Prince, Pal, Sondheim. Bjork is a stone cold genius. Took me 2 decades to get it. Thank God for RU-vid
The part you didn't understand might be something like "and they're in my head". Also, I could be wrong, but I think it's "and there is no map uncharted" instead of "uncertain". Idk what the actual lyrics are. Just what it always sounded like to me - - before anyone had the internet to be able to look up lyrics. :-)
found the official lyrics after a while If you ever get close to a human and human behavior Be ready, be ready to get confused and me and my here after There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic to human behavior But yet so, yet so irresistible and me and my fear can And there is no map uncertain They're terribly, terribly, terribly moody of human behavior Then all of a sudden, turn happy and they and my here after But oh, to get involved in the exchange of human emotions Is ever so, ever so satisfying and they and my here on And there is no map and chair too Human behavior, human behavior Human behavior, human behavior And there is no map And a compass wouldn't help at all Yeah, uncertain Human behavior, human behavior Human behavior, human behavior Human behavior, human behavior Human behavior There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic To human, to human, to human, to human There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic To human, to human, to human, to human
Freda, the parts of the lyrics you are unclear on are not real words. There are multiple instances of her answering this question in interviews, especially around the time Debut...uhh..debuted. Here is a fun one from a 1995 AOL chat (14142.net/bjork/articles/bjork/aol1995.txt) Question: Bjork, PLEASE what are the lyrics to Human Behavior, especially the part right after "you'd better get ready to get confused". I love to sing the song but have to slur the words there. Thanks! Bjork: You probably refering to my much talked about gibberish. People think it's Icelandic, but it's actually whatever noise it feels naturally to sing. I tend to want to have songs that way that there are sections which are strict always the same lyrics and train your discipline and then have sections which are space and I can do whatever I want. So every time I sing those sections, they're different. Sometimes Icelandic words, but mostly gibberish.
For the poster: That part that you said if anyone can tell me what they said in lyrics please tell me, I think it's in their native Icelandic language. Such an amazing song. Thank you for making this video so I can sing this during my DIY at home karaoke parties!!
