Hey everyone I hope you enjoy the video. Don’t forget to enter the ROMP giveaway. Details above. I also have a discount link for this board as well. Stay safe. 🤙🤙
Do you have an update? Did you hit 40mph? Really liking the look of this after Exway messed up my order and refunded. It's either this, the Zealot or wait to see what Atlas is like. Or just wait till the GTR dies and get a new board next year
Roci just now saw this. I have not tried to do 40 I don’t have the pulley to do so. I did just put up my top four boards. This or Zealot is solid. I have link for both boards to support the channel.
I just found your channel yesterday man. I watched a bunch of your vids. Love the progression of your video quality. I bought my first skateboard this week and I’ve also been looking into E-boards and I think this Duo May be the one for me. Keep the great vids coming man!
MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I’d have to say this one here about the Duo Board would be my favorite so far. I looked at vids about different boards and I think you’re like one of two or three people who have a video about this board. You helped me decide what kind of e-board I want to eventually get. Thanks man 🙏🏾

Just FYI in case you still ride the duo, I’m pretty sure your truck hangers are backwards. I think the writing side faces the inside. This will change the turning of the board slightly so something to think about. Also as someone of a similar weight, Khiro makes excellent barrels and I use for the rear truck: purple boardside/red roadside, and then for the front trucks I used two red barrels. It’s a great bushing setup if you wanna try it. I did use 2 flat washers on each truck as well btw.
Thank for the awesome review. I ordered the kit this morning with your code. Does the board come with any branding or is it just plain? Are the belts really loud compared to the zealot? How about compared to hub motors?
MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I was waiting on the Backfire Ranger X3 but the BKB Duo kit with the 2x3000w motors, 6 inch Pneumis and customization did it for me.
MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I built the board over the weekend and I really like the board! One thing is the brakes are crazy strong! I launched myself off a couple of times with the brakes. Have you tweaked the VESC to smooth out the brakes? I’ve been looking on everywhere and can’t find information on exactly how to adjust the brakes.
Adam Enright appreciate that. They have a mini board too but if you are speaking about a shorter long board maybe I can suggest that. But honestly it looks long but it’s really not when riding. It is no less portable or nimble. I like it. 🤙🤙
Dope video review bro! You always killing it and shredding hard! Love that you actually ride hard and hit the streets like I do. You are making a really good case to go with the duo board because of all the swappable options, plus with an upgrade that can get speeds of 40mph. Whaaaat!🤯 Keep up the great reviews!!
Incredible video sir! Loved every moment. Information was very streamlined and entertaining. Definitely considering this board for a future purchase. Gotta put way more love on my backfire and flex first! Love this community love skateboarding for life❤️
Awesome review my broski!! I got mine at the beginning of September....haven't ridden in about 30 yrs so I'm taking it slow.....Jared is doing greatl things at Build kit Boards....he is the chosen one....he will bring balance to the force.
definitely a great intro to DIY. now to build your own? if your not building a battery yourself it's all pretty straight forward and its mostly plugging bits in to each other just like you did with the BKB kit or a TB pro kit.
187 you just killed this review 💪 good job my brotha!! I’ve been waiting on this release !! Incredible job king!! Ima do my review either tomorrow or the next day ! Big love ✊💙
Thanks for the great review as always man. I just got the Revel kit but having some problems with it. Sending it back and hopefully support can get it figured out. I kinda wish I knew about this before hand as it has the power and customization of a DIY without having to research and order a bunch of different parts. Keep up the great work man, love your videos.
Steven Behun how long ago did you buy the other system? Thanks for the support. I really enjoy eskate and spending time with the family. This is a very unique company. They also have a mini board too.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I just got it about a month ago. It couldn't hold a good connection with the remote and it kept applying the brakes randomly. It threw me over the top about 2 weeks back because the wheels locked up... pretty scary. Hopefully I can get back to riding, I was just getting started, but I think I've missed out on this season from shipping delays and now I have to send it back to support.
He man loved the video and I think it’s awesome how interactive you are with your viewers I just bought the tayto kit and am in love with it but the power is scary I’ve already crashed twice but it’s awesome.
ordered a kit after watching your video. did you need to do anything special to install the romp guards on the front and rear? (like longer deck screws?)
I’m switching from a boosted stealth to this board POSSIBLE but I want to make sure it’s going to be worth it I know that you get more top and speed with bigger wheels but I’m looking to get more top and speed without going to 120 mm wheels. With the Stocks set up it comes with are you able to reach speeds higher than 24 or 25 mph?
Well, you sold me on this as well as from talking to others via Reddit/discord’s but watched your video today for the first time never saw any of yours before. Just purchased this as my first electric skateboard truly hope I enjoy it as much as you do. Oh also I used your referral code appreciate what you do! 👊🏻👍🏻
Sean Callahan you will enjoy it. where are you based? Make sure you take time to learn the board stay in modes one and two for a few days before going to mode three. Connect with me on IG would love to see some shredding when your board arrives.
MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I live in Louisiana, so pretty flat where I’m at. I’ve only rode an eboard twice and it was a boosted each time in California, grew up riding skateboards and longboards though so hopefully the learning curve isn’t to big. Can’t wait to cruise with my son between my legs enjoying my favorite childhood pastime with him as well.
Sean Callahan you will be fine. Curious what other RU-vidrs do you watch how do you search for skate videos? I am curious why a lot of people say they have never heard of me trying to figure out how I can address this.
MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent surprisingly I was just in the market for an electric skateboard and heard about this BKB duo and typed it into RU-vid and your 3 videos were the first three to pop up regarding it so I decided to watch each of them and just pulled the trigger on the board just before I commented on your account. But well done would you say it’s your favorite board so far because I was on the fence about a couple others you reviewed too!
I think in the review you said you swapped out the bushing? I'm finding I have to crank down the tightness on these bushings more than they should be, so probably need to go up a stiffness level. Do you just tweak your rear bushing?
Casper Thyrring Pedersen he just throttled too hard he said it himself. He loves the board he wants one. He said his board is “boring” now that he rode the DUO. Anyone can fall on an eskate no matter the board. Sometimes it is user error which it was here.
It does not flex all over the place-that sounds like a winner Mr P! As does build a board without having to start from scratch. Even at only 5' 7" and 150 lbs, I have trouble with foot fatigue. The board sounds to long for me, but from your review regarding being able to change foot positions, that makes it usable for even us shorty flyweights. How about naming it The MPHR Board, the Mr Phillips Highly Recommended Board?!
David Linscheid lil I like that name 😝😝 This board is very comfortable. But if you want more comfort you could put cloud wheels on or even the 6inch tires. Cloud wheels really make the ride experience smooth and you should not loose too much range and torque. I have a video coming soon about my perspective of them. 🙏🙏
Hello, Can you throw the 105d Cloudwheel on the Duo and take a quick ride? I am very curious. My Duo should be here soon but I live in an area that those responsible for the roads do not actually take it seriously. 🙂
Thanks for responding so consistently! Your review of the Duo convinced me to make the purchase. Last question, I wanted to ask you if you have heard anything about BKB struggling to fulfill orders? Do they rely on parts being drop shipped from China or do they actually stock parts for kits put them together and ship them out from their Shop? We all know shipping and support is fairly underwhelming throughout the industry but I was hoping BKB is different. Thanks again for spending your free time making videos for all of us Esk8 fanatics!!
That would be awesome. I think you're the only esk8 youtuber that has reviewed a diy kit.Great video hope you do an update to see how the board holds up after some time.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I have a hub board now and would like a belt driven board in order to have the option to change wheels (e..g Cloud wheels). Looking for a little smoother ride and good customer service is a plus too which I have heard about Backfire. As of now, I'm leaning for the Zealot but was just curious which you prefer.
I just added the bash guards. That’s what they are ROMP Supples bash guards. I have a link in description with a discount code. I am also giving some away when I reach 100 likes. Share video with some friends so we can reach it. Here is a video on them. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ejn77VeJEJk.html
Black Phillip not bad at all Charger has build in fan so the charger stays cool. They have the actual time from empty to full. But of course I never let my board get entirely empty.
You can get larger wheels if you want. I don’t mind the wheels that came standard. But I bet cloud wheels are pretty amazing too on this board. I have some on my zealot and the ride is so smooth.
@@michellelindstrom525 I have the 120's on BKB dual tayto and they are very comfy but until you wear them in they will slide alil but nothing you cant handle
Michelle Lindstrom I have 105s and they are solid. I don’t want to loose too much torque. But I have never tried the 120s. To me the 105s will get the job done. It’s up to you.
Raymond Talavera lol man they are both fast. Did you watch the Zealot and this full review. This board has more torque. I also just put a video up comparing this hoard and Zealot. If you go with either board consider using my link in description to support the channel. I have links for both boards.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent yes I've watched both videos thats the reason why I needed your honest opinion because you rode both boards and wanted to know which had faster acceleration for my 2nd board...but you said this so might go with bkb board....by the way I'm coming from a meepo v3
I liked hearing about the power and torque the board provides not a lot of reviewers focus enough on the performance. Lets see a custom duo build! jtbeschta
Hachetman1313 people keep asking me that and about a few other boards but I don’t know. Maybe reach out to the company and tell them you want me to review something. I have been in communication with companies but COVID is messing things up. I do have some more boards coming that is crazy but I can’t share 🤦♂️
@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I can't get your code to work for buildkitboard site. Also, how does this board stack up against the Exway Flex? Thanks for the great content.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Yeah, I did that initially and it didn't take. I assumed patrick68 was the code and that didn't work either. Thanks for the great content, I appreciate your reviews.
Man I had my mind made up was gonna pull the trigger and buy the zealot. But this video came out now I can't decide between the duo and the zealot 😵😫. Help me man. My first e skate btw.
B-luv 707 either is fine choose what board you like most based on features and what I shared. I have links to both boards. It helps support the channel if you use them when you make your purchase. Either board is a win in my book.
I hit the stated top speed. This board is very fast. I let my friend ride it while I was filming and I had to tell him to slow down because I could not keep up on his board. As you can see in the video I could easily leave him behind while riding the DUO Board. The intro scene should give you some insight too. It’s very fast.
It is super fast. I have my DUO for half a year now and I enjoy it a lot. Before I purchased it I also was wondering if it is fast enough. Now I rarely hit the top speed. There is no need to go that fast. More important for me is the acceleration! It's a blast. I always have a grin in my face. Especially when I overtake the e-bikers.
might want to edit the part where it says it uses caliber trucks. Jared said they are clones and not genuine. Wish they would edit the website to reflect this
Love the fact that it's customizable. And the motors sound amazing for the price. You could also swap to a set of Caliber trucks in a different color...like Purple or even Red to match the motor mounts. Disappointed you only got @14 miles range. But it looks like there's plenty of room to install another battery towards the front of the deck. 👍(fr3dline on Instagram)
This video is my favorite by far. Never have I wanted to get a DIY more than I do today. You cleared many misconceptions I had about how hard it'd be to build. You even changed my mind about belt systems in general, I used to hate them, but now I own one because of your vids. Keep up the vibes my guy
Good to see an experienced rider really likes this board, some seem down on it for nitpicky things that can easily be fixed/customized. This is my first board and pretty happy with it so far. It's been great around Baltimore city (despite the terrible roads) and I'm finally getting the feel of carving on land (vs kiteboarding a twin tip on the water). My IG is @gat0rdave, might have to pickup some bashguards unless I happen to get the giveaway 😏
g4hardcore I am randomly choosing winners. Does not matter when you like 😝😝 but you are right we are almost there. I want to hit 150 so I can select two winners.
the hillclimb subject is diffntly most usefull for me because i live in scandinavia. i really wish i had a e boad and yoour video makees me want this board, thought i should buy a budget board now i want this. but becuase of the virus i lost my job and income ;( so i hope i can win this give away so i can come out and have some fun atleast my instagram is eviinblad
