I can tell you what is the heart breaking, a different to others BLs is that here is real to a true gay story in real life. A lot of Bls from the start are couple or already try hit each other, even when one of them is "straight" dont have any problem to like a guy; that is in a perfect world but its not the real one. In the reallity even when you know you are gay or lesbian you try to change that or when you start like someone of the same sex. Its truly hard and this is the first BL that i can see they portraid that. A lot of real gay storys are sad, but BLs always portraid that gay couple always have a good start and good ending and are all romantic.

@@jonnorlove2684 I can relate to that. To the story of being in love with the same sex best friend, that is. And to the fear, and internalised homophobia as well. And to the heartbreak in general, being unable to utter a word because what you feel is difficult to describe, too powerful and overwhelming. But maybe it's just growing :)

I agree. You slowly watch Teh fall in love, but at the same time, it’s like he’s increasingly struggling to hold himself together because it’s hard to get used to the idea of being in love with someone of the same gender when you didn’t expect it. It’s always two steps forward, one step back for him. He avoids kissing and hand-holding and all that because it would mean no going back, and especially after that dinner with his brother’s girlfriend, he’s like, “This can’t be happening, I don’t want it to happen, I’m going to bury how I really feel. We’re just friends.” By the end he’s cracked like an egg and has to face reality; his moments of honesty in the final episode were incredibly moving, and I liked how his brother was realistic, like, “Yeah, this may end up being hard, but you deserve to be happy and I’ll love you no matter what.” It is a fantastic, enlightened, and relatable show; I remember going through some of the same things when I was in high school. The good news is that life on the other side is beautiful!
