@@analysttherapist2929He could sit back and chill and not have the community flame him in the comment section of this video. But he’s taking it on the chin, I think that deserves credit.
Monte and Thorin usually roast him much more when they are comparing him to the likes of Inspired and other western junglers. I thought their C9 discussion on this weeks Summoning Insight was actually quite well-measured and nuanced and they gave Blaber many props for having great mechanics and being good in the early game. They didn't really roast any of the players but more were regretful of what this year's C9 team could have been.
Agreed but want to point out that they were pretty reserved roasting him. Both were saying he was still good but just not a good fit for these 4 players. I don't think being worse than inspired is too much of an insult anyway
Monte thinks he's a Korean Dandy and Boorin Thoorin is a ginger twat living in a frigid basement endlessly wacking it to LoTR and the NBA while endlessly hating on all things NA (that he is addicted to btw).
@@cremlindor6607 Nah pros routinely show up for Thorin's reflection series even after being shit on during summoning insight for years. I mean even Doublelift and Reginald did Reflections.
Just shows how respected Dom and Yamato are in the scene, to get people to show up and be comfortable talking about anything, even C9's elimination just 5 days prior. Also is it just the environment? Nearly every guest so far talks about how LCK and LPL aren't untouchable when it comes to internationals, it just takes a while for western teams to adapt/evolve to their level, with scrims and all, because based on their statements, the 'gap' in regards to mechanics and macro isn't that large.
So much is mental. A big thing lck did for the longest time was gaining advantages in incredible minute ways. This would lead teams to feel desperate for something to happen to claw back to an even game and force sub optimal plays.
Idk. The gap seems pretty insane if you consider results? Plus the comparison also lacks since there are only 3-4 teams from each region. Could well be that there wouldn’t be more then 4-5 teams in the top 30 globally from Eu;Na combined.
No serious person can believe the difference is macro and mechanics “isn’t that large”. NA pro players are in denial about it because no competitive person wants to admit that another region is just simply better than they are.
Depends on who we are talking about if we send out top 3 teams of each region (lcs/lec) into LCK or LPL and let them scrim and play in their regular season I’m certain they would be middle of the pack. The problem is that LCK/LPL top 3 seeds are just higher that our top 3
I just love how excited Blaber sounded talking about his experience and start to League. Shoutout toe Dom and Yamato for great questions! Best engaging questions I've heard from interviews for a while!
Blaber brings such good vibes to the podcast! 🎉 It's cool to hear him talk about his journey and the ups and downs with C9. Also, kinda wild thinking about how his weight was mentioned, makes me feel like I need to hit the gym! 😂 Can't wait for more guests like this! 💪
It’s actions like this and interviews like this that show how much Blaber loves League. It’s things like this, that are going to put Blaber in the Hall of fame with people like Impact, Bjerg, and Doublelift. So much respect to Blabberfish.
Shoutout to you guys for this podcast. Ive been watching dom on and off the past 8 years and I think this podcast is one of the best content pieces you guys could make because it brings back the old fans to reminisce on the old days while tying it to today’s players and personalities. And adding Yamato/LEC guests really lets me learn about the LEC players beyond the player level one at a time and its really digestible. I wish this pod was on main channel but man.. i hope this pod can keep showing up somehow. Also, shoutout to you two for making some great questions
Blaber said it perfecty: they needed the sven personality, someone who cuts the bullshit and keeps inting in check. Jojo NEEDS someone like that to stay focused, its why him and inspired worked so well together
idk man it always sounds like excuses whenever c9 players face questions about shortfalls this year. How come no one on this team can call macro past the midgame? Why will no one call out their teammates for drafting selfishly? Who needs to be replaced so this team can finally improve? If no one is to blame, everyone is.
i don’t really fault blaber for the mid jungle synergy failure . with the map changes mid lane has become even harder to gank. you need support with you for a 3 man gank/dive these days and with the mid lane champ pool it’s even harder to get kills on them. buuuuut C9 still fraudulent af
How can it be that we didnt have something like this since the crack down. I mean this content is gold for the whole scene and nobody does it outside of Dom.(thorin also did but I think to much blacklisting happening laltly so no more guests)
I respect blaber for coming on the show so soon after everything went down. But as a c9 fan I was a little disappointed about when dom and Yamato were talking about c9 being passive, blaber talked about them being overagresive, watching the games it felt like they were the do nothing and lose team. Not the run it down team. The run downs were more so after losing their advantages.
1:06:55 so you're telling me the key to a Fnatic win is to get a team of drinkers and then host a big party right before the finals? No wonder Polish players are always so OP.
C9 was a sadly put together team. Too many players did not live up to their potential. Feels like the veteran players have peaked and have not matured their skill in the game.
In the year kobe and lebron join the Olympic team. Everyone assumed they where going to roll over Everyone. Lebron said in a interview that the hardest part of joining that team was playing with kobe. There egos collided until lebron back of and pick kobe as the leader. Same thing here they couldn't pick a leader zven was there leader and with out him they froze and lost.
As good as Cloud 9 players are individually - which is why they win games until the 18 min mark. The lack of a clear team leader is going to cause them to stay top 3/4 every season at best
I have been watching jojo since EG. I don't know why everyone says he's so good. Even back when LB and Akali were meta jojo carried 2 games the whole season. This season Jojo's champ pool isn't meta and inting his face off. I think the team personality is what really killing C9 this season. Like Blabber was saying about Sven. You do these dumb full send plays Sven would flame and bully you for it. Every team needs an enforcer to keep the players in line. Listening to their coms is rough. Too many different shot callers with 2 players that want to full send at all times. Flyquest has Inspired in the enforcer role. TL has impact. Inspired and Impact on EG is what broke Danny. You need at least one of these guys on your team to keep the intrusive thoughts from winning. I can bet you money they let Sven go because of the flaming your plays but he was what is really holding your team together.
I think sven got let go mostly cuz he wanted to play ad carry and there's no way they'd let zerk go yet. Sven may be a bit hard on inting but he's also got that goofy positive personality that can keep morale up too. He did the same thing on OG as niels and on TSM (at least until the akaadian drama lol)
Jojo without inspired micro managing him, doesn't look so good. He tilted beserker and made beserker punch a wall and cry at the start of the year, no one brings that up anymore. Yea C9 Blaber not the most over rated player ever from NA.
It's ok dom. I know the reason u don't consider xmithie the na goat jg is because when u loaded up the game u felt like u were better and could beat him everytime, i get it
