Your story videos are like mental reflections or even confessions. They are heart-warming yet relaxing. The ambience, the ASMR voice, and even the tea! What fun. I wish you the best as an educator-I'm sure you are a wise teacher. You have been to me.

you are such a kind person and you are so self aware. so many teachers or mothers , even myself, will snap at the children and not even give it a thought. I had an example of this recently where a teacher who is a very good teacher had an off moment where he snapped at my son.. my son turned around to get a form out of his backpack and the teacher snapped "I don't want to talk to your back boy ". and my son felt very offended to be called boy, so my son stopped and put his backpack down and the teacher said "now you are putting your backpack in the aisle, you are ignorant ". so my son came home very very upset and told me about it and I decided to email the teacher. I was very nice and said maybe you were having a bad day or something or my son was not being a respectful student but your words really upset him and hurt him. so the teacher got right back to me and he said he was so glad I emailed him to bring this to his attention.. he said he did not mean to ever upset or hurt my son and he feels so bad that he did. he asked me to please accept his apology and said "your son is such a nice and gentle boy and I never meant to make him feel bad. I replied that I accept his apology and I understand.. we are all human. he apologized to my son the next day. so I just wanted to share that because it is so wonderful that you are so self aware that you can stop and realize your reactions. you are so wise and kind and the children are so lucky to have you for their teacher and we are so lucky to have you!

i appreciate how you can switch from one language to another with ease. All of the most beautiful elements of your voice were in this video. You are full of wonder.

My dearest Haying, I feel you are being too hard on yourself! You are a human being, and you're entitled to your emotions. You raised your voice... it's okay!! I would bet money that you are one of the coolest, calmest, kindest people that your students know so it's a GOOD thing that you showed them you have feelings too and are not perfect. You're perfectly imperfect :)

Do You have a p.o. Box or a way to be able to send you anything? I've been watching you for a few years now and you're so inspirational to me!! It's like you're a dear friend. You're one of my most favorite people. I have my most favorite local tea shop where I live, and would like to send you some tea as a small gift and token of appreciation if that's alright.

Sometimes it's okay for a child to witness a little loss of temper - especially if it comes with an apology, then they can realize that it's not the end of the world, not the end of innocence, life goes on, bad temper happens, we say sorry, and then it can be let go, and we can be happy again. You probably surprised your class because I imagine it was quite out of character for you!

32:10 I opened my eyes and busted out laughing. Best part! Important to leave difficulties asside sometimes and just rest.

my sister who taught music in the elementary school system for 43 years will tell you in a heartbeat that an unruly moment in a classroom full of children who are not listening to their teacher's request to settle down does not warrant a kind word. Otherwise you will invite worse as they see you can be manipulated. Kids are crafty at a very young age. Your motive was peace and quiet, not harm. Hurrah for your strength and ability to settle such a class. it is not an easy thing to do. BTW sis has won the National Teacher of the Year award twice. So I would say she knows a little about classroom discipline. She liked everything about your story except for your unnecessary guilt. She applauded you. Sometimes care and love has to be firm. I pray you do not compromise yourself in this my dear friend.

When children get to that unruly stage they require firm direction and you were likely a lot easier on them then our teachers were with us so don't worry. Children should be respectful and we fail them if we don't remind them 😉

As a teacher, I've been there and I feel your pain. It's such a hard place to be when class goes wrong. Go easy on yourself. Teaching is hard!!!

Teachers are people and I think everything you share concern about is normal. The behavior is normal. You're human and you're yourself in your videos (what I love). Because of that I think we can say you're a very self-deprecating person. That is actually a great quality as long as you're not destroying your self esteem. It shows humility and an empathetic outlook with others. You should be concerned if you *didn't* care (ha). Best to you.

I could honestly sit and listen to you for hours. :) What type of tea is your favourite? I used to be a coffee drinker but recently switched to tea due to illness. I really like black and green teas but have getting into more white teas lately and a little herbals. I haven't tried Rooibos or matcha tea yet.

you have good intentions. there are some teachers who are evil and would tear up a small child’s drawing just because they enjoy being mean to kids when they can get away with it. but those evil teachers will burn in hell for eternity 💕🌸💕🌸💕

Don’t feel bad about yourself, It happens to every teacher, Do not let them run the show! You have to keep control and a little raising voice won’t hurt them! They know the “real you “✨🌹
