@@SirCandyMint You price out the parts, your going to come up to over $100 unless you have extremely expensive milling equipment to make the end-caps and cut the threads yourself. So your spending a little less than $100 to have someone else do all the cutting, sourcing materials, and assembly for you. It seems like a fair price to me. A lot more fair than the typical $800 that other companies are charging for basically the same thing. I'd rather have "just washers from home depot" i can easily source to replace if i need to one day than proprietary cups i can't get anywhere else.
Clayton I bought one as a beater years ago to use while I’m out on my land, it’s mounted on a 10.5 SBR 5.56. After thousands of rounds of SuperSonics through it, it has yet to explode on me... so either you’re simply ignorant or just salty you spent a shit ton more on a suppressor that’s not much better..
what do you think a suppressor is? they are very easy to put back together. to be honest I'd be embarrassed to make a video showing my inability to do simple task and put it on the internet.
Don't cry lil buddy... They're laughing at you, not with you, It'll be ok. Lil tip for ya. Spacer, then a washer, spacer, then a washer till it's full. Lube it with those crocodile tears. Shhhhhh (hugs)
Clayton and all of the other suppressors aren’t worth 1000 plus, I don’t understand why people in the gun community attack cheap products, if it works who cares.
People talking shit about this can really don't know anything about suppressors. This technology is not much different than you will find in a $1,000+ can. Sure you have mono-cores and super-duper titanium alloys and whatever but at the end of the day they are just fancy washers and spacers and variations of washers and spacers the concept is the same. For $200 this is a hell of a can. I can't imagine Black Aces is making much money on this can and I really appreciate that they are giving us a can that works and works well for dirt cheap prices. Quit your crying and go spend your $1000+ on a fancy blinggy can for an extra DB or two in sound reduction I would rather have 5x of these cans!
Let's be realistic. $1000 will buy me TWO of those shitty cans, not five. On top of that $200 price you speak of there is another $300 or so of taxes and fees and Yankee Hill has cans in the $300 to $400 range that don't use washers and chunks of pipe. It's not $200 vs $1000. When you add taxes and fees it's more like $500 vs $600.
Joshua Levy if you bought this suppressor for $199, then paid to $200 tax stamp, you’re at $400 total. If you buy a $1,000 suppressor and then pay the $200 tax stamp, you’re at $1,200. You could buy three of these suppressors, one in 1/2x28, 14x1LH, & 5/8x24 thread patterns to use on multiple platforms for the price of 1 “higher quality” can. It makes zero fucking sense to spend a grand on a can, when you can get the same results for one that costs a fifth of that.
Lol if you seriously have that much trouble figuring out how to put that can back together you really shouldn't be around firearms without your "special" hat.
@@deadeyegp3803 You're going to threaten people and then expect to run a decent business? Gun Shop Clowns are some of the biggest tools on the planet. No, you don't run the World because you sell a few guns here and there and can power trip, it's just a job. I thought the same in my LEO days, it's just a job.
I have one I bought on a lark, for what it costs and what it is IMO it's not a bad deal. It takes 300BO down to hearing safe levels, so it does work. Granted it's not a replacement for my Sig's or AWC but for the money I don't consider it a rip, just a basic suppressor made in the old school way. IMO these are for the shooter who doesn't have the access to a machine shop or the ability to make their own. I'm doubtful a person who'd have to pay for machining could do this any cheaper or maybe even better.
lol, it's crazy they can charge $200+ for like $3 worth of Home Depot parts because of ridiculous laws. Even sadder, I live in CA and couldn't even pay the $200 + $400 tax if I wanted to.
Imagine thinking that a suppressor needs to be more complicated than a tube with washers and spacers... simple volume does most the work... this is technology that should be available over the counter for $25. That’s all I’m saying.
@@keeganb9477 you didn't know that most Lexus are rebadged Toyota's? They redo the interior and a few body panels. Maybe a different engine. Same shit with Acura and Honda. An Acura ILX is just a fancy civic.
Audi= Volkswagen Lexus= Toyota Infinity = Altima Buick= impala Most vehicles are just a different body with same engine trans and frame Different name different price
I like this kinda video because I want one of these. And I need more videos like this to discourage people so I can get my hand on one because they're all sold out.
People just do a tax stamp and make your own can. There's plenty of great functional designs on the net. Just be careful and if you have a hard time assembling "Ikea" style furniture, you may want a gunsmith to do the work for you. It's just that the older simple designs usually need to be larger than the factory sold cans, to get the same level of sound suppression.
Guys, am I missing something here? Is this design going to fail after a few months? Is it impossible to clean? Does it not actually reduce sound as advertised? What's the problem?
@@deadeyegp3803 The big question though too is are they using sub-sonic or super sonic. Supers are still going to be loud no matter what $1000 dollar can or otherwise.
I have one and have shot 22lr up to 22-250 through mine and it works great. No problems. The suppressor is heavy compared to a 1000 dollar can but it works. I have shot over 2000 rounds of different calibers nothing over .224 diameter bullets and it has taken it all. Its quieter on my 22-250 with a 26 inch barrel than on my 5.56 ar15. Alot of gas comes back down the barrel on the semiautomatic rifles. If you dont want that then spend the money for an OSS helix qd. It works better on the semiauto.
“All I can say is washers” haha. What difference does it make as long as it works and gives you good results. Like “we can’t except washers, it’s just not engineered fancy enough”. It works! WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?! “Yes it is cost effective and gives competing levels, but it’s just washers guys” hahahahahahaha
Help me out. I just want to know why you can't get it back together. No matter the order of the stack it should be the same measurement as when you took it out right? I mean no part shrunk or got longer right?
What? So you would put the thickest baffles in the most likely place to get hit? You would also put the thinnest baffles where they experience the most pressure? Come on guys, I don't know much about suppressors but I do have some umcommon common sense...
We got scammed by them and they will not refund us. These guys make junk. Save yourself the trouble and money and go to Home Depot. They have lots of washers and flashlights there. Thats what black aces is doing.
Make an appointment at any NFA shop that carries the suppressor you want and Im sure they would be glad to take you out so they could complete a sale. I am a NFA Class 3 dealer and if I have the suppressor in my shop and a customer wants to hear it I would be more than happy to take them to the range. This way they know exactly what they are getting and can make a decision from there.
I stand by my word. JUNK! I am willing to sell you mine at a loss of $15 each. I have 8. Contact me if you want them. NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED. WE KEEP REAL BUSINESS HOURS
Are you the person who calls making slurs over the phone? Please refrain from calling up my shop again simply to spout off slurs, sir. If you want a $199 suppressor that works and can take the hit, you found it.
I will sell you a quality YHM Phantom 5.56 for $289 and you wont have to worry about replacing washers. 5.56 cans do not need to be serviced and if for some reason they do, YHM will take care of your can at no charge.
YHM SUPPRESSORS FOR 5.56 ARE $489.00 msrp. Are you offering EVERYONE who wants a $200 suppressor this option? If not then I dont see how this reply is relevant. I dont know how you are able to undercut the manufacturer by nearly 50% to everyone that places an order with you, but if you have that level of a connection then sign me up for one as well. I wont count on being able to place that order with you though.
"It's just washers" Who gives a shit, does it work? What exactly do you think a suppressori is? It's a pipe with baffles. Making somethjng that's functional and cheap is much more difficult than functional and expensive. If they got creative and found figured out a way to use cheaper materials and get similar results, good on them. This sounds like somebody paid a lot of money for an "better" suppressor and needs to justify it. We'll call this "buy once, cry constantly."
Not if you file an eform-1 with the atf. You still have to pay the tax stamp. The silencer must be engraved with your name (or trust name), city and serial #.
@@SirCandyMint lol I shot one at a event and my god its beefy but it did work wasn't the most effective imo a form 1 is basiccly all it is just mass produced
I don't care what it is made out as long as it works and is certified so I don't go to jail. I have 2 of these and for $200 each you can't beat this deal. I have one setup on a Savage Model 11 shooting subsonic 223 rounds (1064 fps) - Tight group 3.1 grains cut pressure 4,000. I compared this PoBoy 56 to an AAC 556SD and a OSS EL556. The PoBoy was quieter than those 2 suppressors. If anyone wants one of these inexpensive suppressor that does its job to suppressor the round then please contact me.
