You described Mombasa very correctly! It's a true mix of Zanzibar and Dar. Lying on sea shores, it's hotter , humid and with a slower pace of life. On Kenyan women,you got it right too. They're headstrong, independent and outgoing something most men finds too liberal for their conservative taste especially if it's for marriage.
You can tell this man is well traveled. Zanzibar stone town is exactly like Mombasa 😅 but still veeeerrrryy traditional when you really interact with the locals, you will see the difference. That Uber driver is just projecting his own experience 😅 all women are not the same
Kenya is the only place compared to other East African countries that has fully embraced western culture. Other countries are more traditional to that effect.

Meanwhile last time going through customs back into the US from Spain, being told by black Americans in the line with me, how well treated because of being US citizens. That's always been, especially if artistic middle classes.

Black Americans are welcomed to the motherland wherever they choose to be it doesn't make much of a difference because they have never been to the east west south or north of the continent this a globalized world never restrict yourself to a region explore and discover.
Actually no because regardless of where in Africa African Americans belong to any part. Remember nomads many Africans background did not stay in just one area they traveled. Many people even believe the bantus migrated from East Africa to West. We will never know but however as long as you're a black man or a woman you're an African. Besides Kenya is a lot more better and stable for them to be in.
