I am looking forward to visiting Kenya 🇰🇪 I want to eventually relocate, obtain residency, and ultimately obtain "Dual Citizenship" in Kenya Even though I haven't visited Kenya yet, my interactions with Kenyans have been very positive, and my research about Kenya lines up with what I need and want.
I cant wait to explore my homeland 🎉🎉🎉 be in Ghana next month and will be in Sierra Leone at the end of this year. Gonna have dual citizenship as ill be traveling back and forth... maybe 😅😅

Growing up as a kid in the USA I always thought Africa was all starving and waiting for the USA to come to rescue. So in 2022 I went to Zimbabwe and saw how beautiful the natural landscape was and the beautiful people. Their food supply in Zimbabwe is a lot healthier than ours in USA..
To be honest I don't want that kind of movement or at least we'd make it selective. Because most people tend to bring with them the negative baggage they learned in the West and most of these do not apply in the context of Africa from a social standpoint.
I was able to visit Ghana in 07 and loved it, and tell people always that I had the best time in my life there and want to get back soon and go to other countries on the continent as well.

If he was taken around by someone famous I don’t think he got to see the true country. In my experience, no one needs to know who you are and just walk around to see what it’s like. There are many other countries besides Ghana and Nigeria to experience Africa. I though Namibia, Malawi and Sierra Leone were cool.
The only time I heard that term was on Boyz in the Hood, a movie from the EARLY 90s...I (like most Black Americans) didn't grow up around Africans..they used that outdated trope to criticize us...

Growing up we also called other African Americans that term it wasn't exclusively used with Africans, I've been called that it's just part of cracking jokes on each other
Black Americans are the most known Black peoples on the planet. A lot of Africans on the continent don’t know about the Caribbeans or Southern Americans like that until they venture to Europe or America so it’s understandable.

You know it is interesting, I'm glad he went and had a good time, but I don't trust the experience from these famous people. The reason is... they are famous. All those cameras around, really did not look like the authentic African experience. Granted, we are all waking up to the lies, but as well I really don't think he was given the treatment I would get setting foot on the ground. I agree 100% with what you say though about people being able to experience Africa and appreciate it without all the mainstream media bias. I will also say the realities of Africa without the bias can be just as jarring. One foot in South Africa where you feel like you never left America. That be a plus or a minus depending on what you wanted to get out of Africa. Or being instantly overpriced when "your people" hear your accent. Yeah, the realities of Africa I think take many through a cycle of a love affair, which is great, you romanticize it long enough that you love nearly everything about it. Somewhere around trip 3 or 4, you start realizing, it's just another place. A special place sure, a place filled with people that look like you, sure. A place of opportunity absolutely. But as you said it has it's areas that you have to look at quite realistically. Despite it all I can't wait to get back. But yeah, I'm not interested in how much of a great time ANYONE famous had in Africa.
African Americans are not Europeans and Asians they are colonizers we are totally different situations. It’s not the same for us. The Asians and Europeans separate themselves and live in nice neighborhoods and still land and resources through shady deals.

I’m latino and descent of indiginous American and some of them also have dark skin not like Africans but is dark and aboriginals from Australians and Indians have dark many times as the people from African. Many people in America is also mix( and is many America countries is like all they are mix)and if you are mix you can be one race only, it is scientifically impossible, so you can’t be Africa in this case.
