As someone who experienced an Australian Jardini Arowana jump out of the tank at night, all I can say is they are lucky the guy was right there when it happened.
You can't decorate monster fish aquariums since the fish tend to eat them or get hurt by them. Sand substrate is okay, but it's a pain to clean with the amount that arowanas poop
In Chinese culture, arowana can help people avoid bad things. And if your arowana jump off the tank or suddenly death, that means it's had defended you from something bad…
Actually, here in PH, it refers to just any animal that died, especially our pets and farm animals. They died instead of a person who is going to die. They are taking someone's death. Obviously, it is just a myth.
All jokes aside, back when I was a kid I used to have a red arowana and I named him Garfield (for some reasons lol). He used to be small when we got him and a few years later he became so big just like the one on the video, sadly, he died a few years ago :(
Doesn't matter Still arowana can jump Lol..they jump around 1-2 feet above water level for catching insects..look at wildlife videos on arowana on their natural environment and how they jump above water for catching insects . And search about river monkey.. That's why you always need a tight cover on aquarium top for keeping arowana
Thank you for all the likes and subs, i didn’t notice this footage since. The tank size: 98inch x 38W x 38H. It is 600 Gallon tank. I guess lots of people know the reason the tank is bare bottom. No recommendation decor tank for Aros especially rocks/sand etc. At the time of the footage the aros is about over 24inch long, she still alive up til today. ;)
This happened to me three times to many!!!!! I called the Belle Isle Aquarium and told them they could have this thing!!!!!!! My Arowana grew to about 36" or so. i'd give him a night crawler and SPEWN!!!!!!! out the water like a rocket!!!!!
I had a snake that wasn't even that big remove a solid wooden lid with a car battery on top as weight. If animal wants to get out it will. My cat also got hit by a car and was in a mess and had to have a cone around it head for weeks. I put a thick flattened carboard box in front of the catflap so he couldn't escape out of the house. I came home to find the cone on the floor and the box moved to the side and the cat had escaped! I found him a few weeks later 1 mile away in a tree lol
Know someone who mounted a strong elastic net so they don't hit something hard when jumping , instead when they yeet they get yeeted back into the water like a rubber band lmao
Comment says it’s 600 gallons but sounds like he knows his stuff so he might have other tanks too; can’t say for sure though but the fact he gives the tank’s dimensions and volume is a good sign to me
The other arowana dared him to do it and now celebrate that he is free. But in reality more food and soace for them. They know he will be the meal of the day. Hopefully he escaped and lived to tell the tale. Cool video. ^_^
I got a cement block if you need to borrow it. I have silver aros but my tank can allow for jumping. I even feed them on a stick and hold it feet above the water. They don't miss often.
As a Fishlosopher, I was just testing out the concept of a fish in the tank. Who knew I was dead wrong. The moment before I landed, I found out it should have been fish which was tanked all along. Moral of the story, just take the leap of fish and voila you will get the answer. You have been a great audience. Tank you nike.
i suggest everybody always to have a rug by hand, if you don't, just grab your shirt or whatever you are wearing. it is a simple way to catch a fish quick , and get it back to the water safely.
