Anger They always gave the heaviest songs to the two littlest ones. : ) This song is about being angry at dumb boys. I don't think it's breakup song. They're just saying that they're not impressed. This one was kind of controversial, and the lyrics are a bit rude, especially coming from young girls. As I understand it, the equivalent would be using an expression like "dumb bastard". There are a few translations out there that exaggerate this quite a bit, but there's nothing in the lyrics that would get it censored on Japanese TV. Unfortunately, this song hasn't been performed since July 2017, when Yui was still with the group. I saw it about a month before that at the Palladium in Hollywood.

Yuimetal & Moametal (Inside joke: They are also known as MoiMoi when talking about them as a pair.) are the subunit of BABYMETAL known as Black Babymetal. Su-metal has her solos, MoiMoi have their songs without Su. Su's solos and the Black Babymetal songs are chances for the girls to get off stage, stretch, cool off, fix their costumes or makeup or equipment, whatever. The Black Fox Festival was part of The Five Fox Festival in Japan, and was held on 18 July 2017 at Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo. Akasaka Blitz was closed permanently in 2020. The Black Fox Festival was limited to males only in the audience. Sis.Anger seems to be the PERFECT song to play at a crowd of unruly guys! Black BABYMETAL doing black metal ... so you prefer black metal to prog metal, fair enough. Black BABYMETAL is Yuimetal and Moametal as a duo. When they performed their songs it gave Su-metal a chance to get a break, just as they got a break when she performed her solos. There are 4 Black BABYMETAL songs - the other 3 are '4 No Uta', 'Onedari Daisakusen' and 'GJ'. I don't know if this is about girls breaking up with boys or not - it is definitely girls being angry with lazy boys making their excuses and threatening to knock them into shape if they don't buck up their ideas. Moral of the story - don't make Yui and Moa angry.

Great reaction. You have just reacted to two songs back to back that I must confess are not my favorite performances but with over 50 LIVE performances of different songs it is to be expected. You have been fortunate to have reacted first to some (in my opinion) top notch performances but there are still so many more. The catalog is deep and deserves to be explored. Having said this I would recommend getting back to some of the cream of the BabyMetal crop such as Kagerou LIVE or BxMXC LIVE (pro shot). Good luck and good exploring.

With sisters like this who needs enemies? The lyrics are probably about generic teenage boys and maybe brothers in particular rather than a boyfriend. Remember Su, Yui and Moa don't have boyfriends. ;-) The lore says that Black Babymetal is the evil sides of Moa and Yui, but in the real world BBM were important for the flow of live concerts as they gave Su a chance to rest. Su would then return the favour to Moa and Yui when she did her solo songs. Being able arrange the concert songs using BM, BBM and Su solos gave the concerts a lot of variety and interest and made them epic occasions. The peak of this was, IMO, Tokyo Dome.

When it comes to singing Sis. Anger isn't really a great song, they are meant to sing flat in this song. I don't know why, it's a stylistic choice. 4:48 and the difficultly in this song is clearly the drummer's skill and endurance. 🙂 Hideki is a beast on the drums. 5:26 yes, this is one of 3 problems with Tokyo Dome: the distance of the audience, the assigned seating (no moshpit or wall of death) and the echos in the indoor baseball stadium not made for music. Their is definitely a challenge to still bring the crowd together as one and let them experience what a Babymetal show is like in such a setting and some prestige to perform at the largest music venue in Japan. Some have said of every 100 artist to perform at the famous Budokan maybe 1 or 2 get to perform at the large Tokyo Dome. Babymetal has and it gives them some form of legitimacy in the eyes of the average Japanese citizen. And it proofs to the world Babymetal can sell out large venues. This is not something most metal bands can do, even in their home country.

It has an approximate capacity of 1300 people (Tokyo Dome was 55.000 with that configuration) "Sis Anger" is probably their heaviest song and my favorite Black BABYMETAL song. The contrast between the brutal instrumentals (including aggressive riffs, blast beats...) and Yui and Moa's cute vocals is so huge (and totally intended hehe...).
