Black-backed jackals hunting warthog piglets 

You know you dont receive any respect as a real predator when your food pays you no mind.

Those jackals are actually just training that piglet to become the strongest, fastest, baddest warthog alive.

This could go on for 2 years , and nobody gets hurt.

Those piglets are very smart.They stay close to their mothers.👏😂 Jackals are extremely skilled animals and cannot be dodged easily.

Very interesting upload. The only chance for a jackal kill is to stampede a piglet away from the sounder. They were probably successful when the piglets were smaller, more numerous, less smarter siblings. Thanks for posting.

Even if they could lift the babies, with the speed of the wart hog and weight of the piglet, the jackal could never get away.

I guess this is the way how these warthogs train themselves to run faster and faster every day until they get bigger.

If you're a parent, you know that there are days when you'd let jackals swipe one of your children.

What is the point of them staying in a pack if they don't help each other... not even the cubs? Stupid animals.

The adults seem very complacent about protecting their young.

The jackals trick, consisted of separating the piglets from their mothers, but they were too smart to fall that trap. The mothers on the other hand, never perceived the jackals as a threat.

Wow! The adults are super tolerant of the jackals! They better tone down on that tolerance because one wrong move can cost a piglet!

It´s like playing but it´s not actually. It´s hunting. Jackals try to make kids run and separate from the warthogs group, but they don´t fall on trick.

They are paid to train the young ones Will be paid later with that gazelle at the back.

The warthogs are like “ that’s small fries we’re not gonna bother”.

Seems like the warthogs in the savannah are sort of free-for-all snacks. Predators take them for granted. If they fail to take down an impala, gazelle, buffalo or antelope, they snatch one hog instead. I really wonder how can the hogs still survive in that predator-infested habitat. Almost every predator are after them. They are not safe even in their burrows. How come they didn't go extinct?

Well clearly the parents merely see them as a nuisance rather than a predator otherwise they would not ignore or tolerate those two chasing their kids in full sight.

Most of the time, the sows/boars are not even bothered. Like they're allowing the piglets to get some much needed 'threat defensive training'

Good training for the piglets, that's why the parents weren't too fussed!

Pigletes were too smart for Jackals.They kept chasing even the Jackals and kept close with the bigger ones face so that,they can keep a watch.

In fact the adult warthogs can do nothing except giving non-threat warning. Neither the jackals nor the adult warthogs can harm each other. But the clever jackals are waiting for a mistake of the piglet if it runs too far away from the parents.

Officially the jackal must be the worst hunter 🤦🏽‍♂️
