Can’t sleep and I came to Daddy Jack’s vids for comfort food vids. Miss you man. Sad you’re at the kitchen in the sky, you’re missed. I hope your family is well.
Sitting here, it’s 38’ outside , central heat is broke , got a little space heat . My house is 150 yrs old. That chili 🌶 looks mighty inviting! OoowwwWeeeee! Thanks for sharing this, see you next time.
I won't underestimate a good PB&J, Kevin. Thank you for watching the channel. *Become a Member Of "Cooking With The Blues" www.patreon.com/CookingWithTheBlues For Blackened Seasoning, CD and other Memorabilia visit: www.daddyjacksnewlondon.com
I’m happy you made this because this is exactly how I cook my taco meat, except now I’m going to add the tomatoes + chilli powder instead of the taco powder-perfect! Thanks Jack, made my cooking life easier.
Looks good! There’s a winter storm hitting TN tomorrow and this would be great to eat while watching it snow. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2021.
I'm watching again a week later. "My patented move" tilting the pan, "you saw it here first". lol. Julius Caesar's cook probably did it, but we'll never know, will we, Jack? lol
Although 2020 has had it's fill of difficulties, find Cooking With The Blues this year has been a blessing. Thanks Jack for all the great videos. Merry Christmas.
Classic. I've been using this versatile combination and method for years, having spent a lot of time throughout the Americas. Cheap, quick and easy. Love it.
this has been my favorite recipe since I was a child, learned how to make it quick and it never gets old! Oh and if you dont make it insanely spicy it goes really easy on your stomach the day after too :D
Jack and family. Wishing you all a fantastic Christmas to come, praying you are all able to come together safely, spend this great holiday cooking good food and enjoy one another’s company. Axel too! Happy holidays
Thanks for sharing. I use 15 bean for my chili, but I will try the black bean. My friend in Canada uses moose meat for his chili and it's awesome. Merry Christmas. Stay safe.
I really hope this ends soon!!!! Too many people are in rough times right now!!! It looks amazing !! Take care, stay safe, stay healthy and God Bless you and you staff, friends and family!!! Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!!!!
Looks beautiful and I bet it tastes even better. This is why we love you, Jack. Merry Christmas to you, your family, and of course LaKeisha. (Sorry if I did not spell that right.) Much love from the Midwest, Bret

Hi Jack, it's your friend from Chicago, just looking in to watch you cook up another great dish....you Are the best!!!! Merry Christmas buddy to you and yours......God Bless...
Chili con carne is so versatile, it goes good with almost any ingredients. Folks, don't forget to add some of Daddy Jack's Blackening Seasoning, it has much good flavor !
Jack, what a robust group of complimentary favors all coming together to make a simple masterpiece. Great ideas, great foundation for thought provoking cooking as always. That's why I've paid attention to your cooking all these years. Simple inspiration that works. Happy holidays to you and yours.
Daddy Jack, I appreciate your move with tilting the cast iron skillet because it reminds me of a similar move my mom did in the kitchen when I was a young girl watching her create magic with food just as you do. Thanks Daddy Jack! I love black beans:! Healthy and economical. A bowl of love. YM
Mmmm makin' me hungry. The "Texas Red" version of chili uses these seasonings: 4-5 tbs chili powder, 2 tbs cumin, 1 tbs Mexican oregano, 1 tbs smoked paprika and 1 tbs brown sugar or coco powder (but not both). Salt and black pepper to taste the meat when browning. I refuse to argue if chili has tomatoes and /or beans (or not). As, I like both in my chili. However, I will say a sirlon cubed into small pieces tastes so much better than hamburger. Enjoy your cooking sir. Have learned a lot.
Both ground and diced steak is the way to go, I like your blend of seasonings Joe. The cocoa powder sounds interesting. I won a chili cookout in Dallas w/ a Turkey, Andouille, Blue Corn Chili at a Texas Chef's event years ago. Wish I still remembered the recipe! Jack
Hey Jack. Used a trick I learned from you. My wife cooked a pot of bone broth. Had a lot of fat and stuff floating on top. I sat the pot halfway on the fire and let the boil push it to one side. Skimmed it up real nice.👍
Yes, Axel is still my favorite boy! I like the meat in chili to be a good bite . I think it requires a little more meat but worth it. Merry Christmas Jack. Stay safe.👍
I love the Carhartt shirts Jack I wear them to big and comfy love you brother God bless you Jack your a great chef and I really enjoy your cooking I tell you this all the time but you really are great chef God bless you man

Daddy Jack, I wish you the very best Christmas! Kind of weird to see you anywhere but in the restaurant kitchen, tho. Keep on rocking with the blues! All the best from Germany
Looks good, Jack. You mentioned Cincinnati, I love 5 way chili. Spaghetti on the plate, then chili, kidney beans, diced onyio, shredded cheese. Chili is great winter food.
😎👍🌶🎄Merry Christmas, great cooks make the world better. Thank you. ( Italians in 1500s would argue about their town having the best food and so then also producing master artists like Leonardo, Michael Angelo, Raphael, Donatello. )
Hello Jack: Love your recipes and cooking style. If I’m ever up your way I will definitely make a pitstop at Chaplin’s. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas Daddy Jack, Lakeisha and Axel! Looking foward to another year of "Cookin' with the Blues." Praying 2021 will be a better year for us all!
Out of respect, I put on blues music when I cook and have a Jack and coke while I cook. I even say “cooking with the blues”. You cook in a way so that everyone can make something turn out delicious. I hope to come to your restaurant in the early spring. Keep making videos.
