Dinah Lance was born into a family of crime fighters; her mother was a vigilante and her father is a cop. She grew up with the company of heroes, and after years of training, followed in her parent's footsteps by assuming the costume, identity, and legacy of her mother Dinah Drake, the Black Canary.
Laurel Lance, former vigilante and Star City public servant. Laurel was the sister of Sara Lance who has also held the mantle of Canary. Laurel was the former lover/friend/fiance/lawyer/team mate/partner of Oliver Queen. Laurel had previously battled addiction, but she won her battle against her addiction. She turned out a better person than she was before her addiction, managing to inspire the citizens of Star City, both as Laurel Lance and as the Black Canary. She was a very valued member of team Arrow before her death at the hands of Damien Darhk.
