Nanocarbon + Fluorine Teflon® water-resistant protective coating
(This is an original idea and its practicality is unknown, but we have already prepared 300m of PE No. 1.7 with black coating)
Expected effects
Anti-oxidation
Antifouling and salt damage protection
Lubrication
Abrasion resistance
Reduction of high heat generated by friction
Sterilizing action (antibacterial action against bacteria that cause deterioration)
The above factors reduce underwater friction, rod guide friction, reel line roller friction, etc., and extend the service life, maintain performance, increase sensitivity, and improve long shot performance.

1)
Use of Polished Charcoal from Japanese Ho-Sumi (Magnolia)
Hohonoki is a log used to make hoba miso (bean paste) and hoba-yaki (roasted magnolia leaves) in the Hida Takayama region.
The charcoal is heated at 1,000°C and jet milled to produce ultra-fine particles.
(The diameter of the 2000-mesh carbonized powder is 2.15 μm (1/500 of 1 mm , 2150 nano), which is as small as smoke or car exhaust floating in the air.
Black carbon is originally used for "mirror finishing," a final finish of lacquerware and other items that are polished and applied using only the skin of the hand for an extended period of time.
This process stains the threads black.
This, in turn, means that the areas that are not stained are not coated. This can be determined visually. For threads with color markers, for example, the boundary will be difficult to distinguish. In addition, all areas that come into contact with this treated yarn will be stained black.
PE(braited) line
A PE line is a braided yarn made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fiber.
The wire diameter of this yarn is 0.5 to 5 microns (μm), so black carbon fills in the gaps between the yarn, turning the fishing line black. This technique is similar to the technique used in audio equipment where the contact points between connectors are made into contact surfaces rather than contact points to efficiently transmit electricity and signals.
Adjusting the clearance between the contact surfaces of rotating parts in all industrial products is to "conquer friction" and is a treasure trove of human wisdom that takes into account heat dissipation and deterioration, durability, and conformity to the environment of the conditions of use.
Optical equipment that must never shake, transport aircraft that travel hundreds of thousands of kilometers, water, land, and air-powered aircraft, robots, space development radar, etc., and rotating objects are subject to changes in gravitational acceleration, variable mass, and fine tuning of tension changes with pi.

2)
Teflon® (PTFE = fluororesin)
Teflon® (trade name), or PTFE, is a heat-resistant, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant lubricating material used in reel plugs and underwater washers. It was first used for packing of atomic bombs and coating of tanks, and is now available as a liquidized Teflon lubricant.
PE fishing line waxed with a mixture (actually no mixture, but adhesion) of black powder and fluorine Teflon can be expected to further improve self-lubricity and abrasion resistance.
3)
Winding PE line on a spinning reel or winding PE line.
If black coating cannot be applied, soak a new spool in a laundry softener solution for at least three days. When reeling in the reel spool, reel in the line in a soaking wet condition and with high tension.
At the beginning of winding, turn the thread onto the spool in the forward direction for one revolution, and then turn the spool a second time.
The second time, twist the line half a turn in the reverse direction, the third time in the forward direction, and then tie a loop knot + half hitch, twist the main line half a turn in the reverse direction and give it a single turn, let the PE line bite into the groove carved at a 66.6 degree angle on the spool's lower winding groove, and finally tie off strongly in the forward direction (dragline release direction).
Now you don't need to underwrap the nylon line, but if you want to save thread, it is appropriate to add spacers and underwrapping.
I do not underwrap and put as much line on the spool as possible, just in case a monster fish hits at any time.
for good your fishing
