I never used to wear black until I moved to New York City, and then I understood why so many people wear black there. For me, it feels very protective. I love white, and the feeling of expansiveness it gives, but I can't keep it stain-free, so it only gets a few wears (not very practical).

We come from darkness, THAT is where infinite possibilities begin. Light makes what’s already there visible. We are literally created in the womb of our Mothers in darkness as we develop. Dark and Light both have significant roles as we are all one and connected in this vast universe.

I love color. I love looking at it and I love to see it worn by others But I'm very sensitive to color and don't like to wear it myself, it overwhelms me. I stick to wearing black and other neutrals with no more than a pop of color now and then for accents - when I'm in the mood!

I have always enjoyed wearing black . My emotional frequency is great and I am happy. You can hear anything!

I love black in winter for special occasions, classy. I usually make a pop of color with it in lipstick, shoes or jacket. Black helps me stay protected and grounded in these situations. In summer, I cant even think of wearing black. Thank you for your awesome posts and wisdom.

What you believe. I live in the tropics and color is intensified here. so powerful , the ocean and sky blue, the lush green of the jungle, the black of the lava. I prefer green in my clothing, it "means growth, living things" I notice I wear black in winter when I visit the cold of California for the holidays. I do think it absorbs the less sunlight, makes me feel warmer, especially with a red scarf! Thanks you for this sharing. I was in an ashram once, we wore White always for spiritual ceremonies. I was born in the 50’s in California. Nobody wore black except to funerals or night out on the town 11:17 but even then I did not see it very often. In the mid 60’s I saw a black dress and begged my mother to buy it. She refused😂. I just thought it was beautiful and as soon as I could buy it myself but it was the 60’s and colors were great too. I’m tired of it now-everyone wore it to death (no pun intended).

Interesting. The colors I wear most are black, blue jean, Navy blue, white and dark red, dark brown. Next is grey and olive green. Seldom a soft pink. I'm an Autumn color person bc it's warm and comfortable. I feel stressed in yellow, orange(unless it's a dark burnt orange), kelly green. I don't like how they feel on me and look with my skin tone being Italian. I feel strong and vibrant in navy blue, black and white. I feel comfortable, peaceful, grounded in the first six colors. I am criticized for not wearing much color at all. But my response was exactly what you said: I love the energy of white and dislike the energy of black and many dark colors. I’m so glad you transitioned into the ‘beliefs’ that ‘color our perspectives.’ As an artist, I love all colors and find ones to express the seasons, my intentions, inspirations, or moods on a given day. Yes, they have vibrational frequencies, and in this playground of physicalized spiritual experiences, it’s all good. I wear black a lot also, and I’m not hindered by judgments or superstitions, and it may be a barometer to understanding someone else’s beliefs by observing reactions. Love is in our vibrations, connections, and actions and may liberate others who get hung up about colors representing more than self-expression.

Even my dogs service vest same royal blue white with black trim.. Who was made to be a service dog by a miracle that came from God.. since my great spiritual awakening 2 years ago I'm wearing a lot black and grey!

I wear black because I look thinner in it and it hides my flaws.

White is my favourite when it comes to daily wear. I love wearing at least one piece of white clothing if not all. I love colour and have all the colours in my wardrobe. But if I'm going somewhere special, my colour of choice is red ♥️. It's probably my go to colour for parties, celebrations etc. I mainly use black to offset other colours like a neutral background to bring out other colours. I just select what flatters my complexion without worrying about which colour it is. Based on observation, I think people with black/dark hair should wear light tops and dark bottoms whereas people with light/blonde hair should wear dark tops and light bottoms. It balances the look and puts the focus on your face.

Black is actually, in paint and pigments, and that would include clothing dye, the combination of all the primary colors. If you want to believe that wearing black will lower your frequency and vibration then what you believe will be so for you. If I did an ink drawing or an intaglio print using black ink, it does not have negative connotations. What does would possibly be the subject matter of the artwork. Likewise, a wonderful positive human being won't lower their frequency just because they wear black. BTW, the Creator made all the colors including black. In fact many black stones such as tourmaline or obsidian resonate as protective or grounding stones. It is a human belief that tags black as negative, and I do believe it is an archaic belief that black is negative, or evil, or represents death, or lowers your vibration. Black is just another useful color in the artist's pallette. In fact, the absence of black would make it very difficult to make other colors. You can't get a burgundy without black, nor navy or midnight blue, or indigo. Really this belief that black will lower your vibration etc. Is total nonsense. But if that's what you want to believe, that's your peragative.

She got something bass ackwards. As far as light goes, yes, black is the absence of color and white is the totality of all color, but on a more solid level, it's the reverse. The color black is the culmination of all colors and white is the absence of color.
