Honestly, Black Clover went from being the anime I watched to pass time to one of my favourites. It just turned up and even when the animation wasn't good, the story made me stick around and watch it because of how intriguing it was. It starts out so typical yet manages to one-up itself each arc. The arc they ended on is honestly one of the most well-rounded arcs I think I have seen since it connects so easily with the last one and it seems so natural. I hope you catch up because holy hell it just went from good to brilliant.

5:24 Asta and Yuno's relationship and is very different from that of Naruto an Sasuke. While Sasuke is always a prick to Naruto, Yuno has a a brotherly relation with Asta and supports him.

Its not that different... Only a few small differences happen like asta and yuno like each other from the start instead of working against each other. But asta is still the underestimate character like naruto that only gets people to like him by doing the impossible... Noelle thought he was stupid till asta saved that village and noelle in their first mission and asta told noelle he believes in her, and same with mimosa, she thought asta was weak until asta protected yuno and mimosa from mars... Asta is like a carbon copy of the naruto character

Black Clover takes all the shonen tropes and makes them 10x better and the plot twists are amazing in my opinion. But black clover is more inspired by berserk than naruto and the reason the animation is kinda weird sometimes is because the they don’t have a lot of staff to do all the episodes and they have to do it weekly.

Kinda pissed by the comparisons with Naruto. When actually Black Clover is actually more influenced by Berserk and Bleach, as the creator has said. Naruto didnt invent shonen troupes. The similarities are actually VERY SURFACED LEVEL, that if you watch the series you would know how its different. But great reaction!! Black Clover has everything Plot, excelent MC, AMAZING FEMALE CAST the best of modern shounen, side characters are all usefull and are NOT left behind, the fking godly forshadowing( more noticible in the manga).

Honestly looking back at this after recording we both realised we did way too much of that especially when we haven't seen the show properly (I haven't seen it since way back when). Obviously didn't mean to annoy any fans of the series but appreciate you guys pointing this out and setting things straight! Also if anything all this feedback has just made us wanna watch the show to find out what it's really like!

Really have you seen both Black clover and Naruto... The basic plot is the same except the base relationship between yuno and asta, they like each other as opposed to naruto and sasuke who learned to like each other.... But lets break down the plot; A main protagonist spurred to get stronger by his friend from childhood who is his rival for becoming the top power (wizard king or hokage). The main protagonist is weak on his own while his childhood rival is strong, the main protagonist is helped through a powerful being that lives inside him or the grimoire, the protagonist and this being become friends and work together to save the world.... The sakura character Noelle is only different cause she likes the naruto character instead of the sasuke one. The synopsis of the plot is the same but thats OK cause their are differences with supporting characters but it is almost the same basic plot as Naruto

One thing to say is that the Black Clover has one of the most united communities to the point that the staff let beginner artists help them in the last chapters, making it clear that everyone, both those who draw and those who see the show, love black clover and we would do a lot to make it succeed.

@@TGLReacts For now. The finale aired on Tuesday with episode 170. There's gonna be a movie, too. And they left it wide open to come back. The anime was just catching up to the manga too quickly, so it's probably gonna be on hiatus for a couple years. So if ever there was a time to catch up, it's now. :)

Black Clover is still kinda underrated. It's a weekly shonen anime so the animation quality varies a lot, but when it's good the quality is top notch. The story only gets better and better, at least what is manga canon And my personal top 5 favorite Black Clover openings are probably: #1 Op 10, #2 Op 13, #3 Op 3, #4 Op 7, #5 Op 11

@@TGLReacts Yeah it's really the beginning that made a lot of people drop it. The best advice to watch Black Clover is just to endure the first episodes, it's still necessary for the plot to watch them. Personally I liked Black Clover since ep 1 though, or didn't dislike at least. I'm so used to shonen characters yelling as I grew up watching DBZ so Asta's voice never really bothered me XD

MC can not use magic because he has no mana(energy to cast spell/magic) but because of that he has other kind of energy which is called Anti-magic. he can cancel out any magic spell with his sword or reflect the spell. But that doesn't automatically make him overpowered. He can cancel out magic but to fight against strong opponent he need to power up himself. Every magic has different properties, so MC need to use his power properly.

the "pink boy" is tripping me so much lol he looks like the guy version of my cousin. you have pretty eyes, btw! also, thanks for the reaction! lots of BC fans probably went here because we're missing the damn show so much. i think you stopped right where it's picking up!! the black bulls' fight with the "beast guy" changed their group dynamics. they have never worked together before that! right after that arc, you'll get the witches' forest, squad rankings, and the tournament arc. there's no downtime after that! i think you guys mentioned about over-sexualizing vanessa? the one always in her underwear. i'd normally agree, but it makes sense after her backstory is explained! it perfectly "exhibits" (lol) how free she is right now!

The animation for Black Clover is inconsistent due to the harsh schedules of the staff. Studio Pierrot prioritizes Boruto sso they have more staff for that. The important scenes however in Black Clover have great animation. Nonetheless, it was the plot/story and characters that made me hooked to this show. The MANGA IS fire im telling you. The art is insane. One thing also is that the artstyle of the author of Black Clover is very hard to replicate in the anime. Only 3 Staff members are able to do that.

@@TGLReacts Visuals were a perfect fit for the start of thoes dark and desperate episodes! + And after watching thoes episodes this opening is turbo boosted cuz you start to understand what story thoes visuals are trying to tell. 21:06 Asta was not loosing control since they are separate entities, its more of introduction + the last blurry person 21:03 that was showed at the very end is equally important.
