Now that you mention it. Deadshot in Arkham Origins and the Arkham games pulled off stunts that no regular assassin could do. He blew off DeathStrokes sword 10 miles away. Meanwhile this Deadshot hasn’t done anything impressive to be called “The Man that Never Misses”. The only thing he misses is his comebacks

I always figured Deadshot to be more of a sniper than a tactical shooter he plays it safe, takes his time and shoots from a distance. Bloodsport seems like the kind of guy that goes John Wick Gangsta.

They could have given us an actual Arkham game where it’s Batman trying to survive and take down/ rescue the league members using his own contingency plans. It’d also make more sense if them being mind controlled is what makes him return as Batman since his identity being exposed is what caused him to blow up the manor and go into hiding at the end of Arkham Knight…until this game completely undid that

If you guys want some 'cope' it's been eluded that the Blackshot we play in SSKTJL is from another Universe, since in the audio tapes. He stated that he "Woke Up" which means this man ain't from the Arkham hood at all, just a random ass Deadshot variant who got jealous of his white counter part for being in Batman's villain hall of fame.

Really cool you decided to talk about this. Deadshot is one of my favorite suicide squad members he's cool in the animated films, and as person of color saying that the OG deadshot was a fake bothered me. That's not how I wanted to be represented. They gave him the most stereotypically dialog 😂 there's a super villian called tattoo man a black guy who makes his tattoos come to life he would have been cool to have in the game.

This is just another reason why they should've made this game its own standalone universe. So many problems could've been avoided.

It’s also weird how they had Jon Stewart and not Hal Jorden for Green Lantern since one of the only times Jon was on the League was in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. There's audio files that say they're both Deadshot. They have the same DNA and the same fingerprints. So Deadshot thinks white Deadshot is from Earth 2. Although I think this Deadshot could be a plant from Earth-2 as some big plot twist. Granted I also don't believe they planned any of this out.

I think it's weird that the "fake" Deadshot was super dangerous while the "real" Deadshot could bearly kill some dude.

This game should've had: a different cast (like the one you suggested with Red Hood and Deathstroke), less cartoony looking graphics (more like Asylum or Knight, please) and a story that isn't so grandiose. Like maybe Black Mask (I think he's dead in the Arkhamverse though) found a powerful alien artefact that *has* the potential to screw up Earth big time (potentially open a boom tube to Apokalips), and the squad are sent to retrieve it and shut down any Darkseid cultist behaviour due to the artefact brainwashing the people that found it. Though the actual enemies you fight are NOT the Justice League or any incredibly powerful entity, it's all smaller scale but the stakes can still be high. Maybe don't even set it in the Arkhamverse, that story has been put to rest well enough.

The excuse they give is that we Arkham Origins/City Deadshot could’ve been from another dimension, but if you’re going to go down that route, why not just have the new Deadshot from another dimension. That could’ve added into his motivation. Maybe he works on the squad because Amanda Waller promised to send him home and TO HIS DAUGHTER if he does enough tasks for her. He would, of course know that she’s lying, but she would be his only chance of getting back.

This comment runs a bit long, so read at your own peril. 2:11, To follow this thought, Bloodsport being most known for shooting Superman with a Kryptonite bullet somewhat works as a reason to have him be in this game instead of Deadshot. And even further on this point, part of what worked for Bloodsport in The Suicide Squad was that his similarities to Deadshot (some of which being because they didn’t get Will Smith back for this movie) and Peacemaker was a joke of how many military trained super-mercenary type characters with similar tragic backstories, broken families and proud, but ruthless dispositions are out there. But even with those similarities (down to the strained father-daughter relationship), Bloodsport worked because he was written with more complexity beyond that super-mercenary archetype with a tragic past and a bad attitude, something the previous Suicide Squad film and Kill The Justice League’s versions of Deadshot kind of fail at (not to say Will Smith did a bad job or he wasn't characterized well, he just had the misfortune of being in a movie that was chopped up and stitched back together) . 3:24, Bat-Family Therapy without a doubt for just how intense the ending gets but also the mental image of Jack Ryder turning into Creeper and causing Jason to have a complete meltdown. If there were any character that has the potential of having an interesting and (in a series like Bat-Family where everyone’s roasting the PTSD out of each other) absolutely hilarious dynamic with Jason, it would be Creeper, not just because he looks like the Joker and the two getting into conflict is a given just for that, but also for the sole fact that with the right kind of writing and if Creeper had an origin specifically related to the Joker in some way (like some mix of his genes with the same kind of serum as Titan or the Man-Bat formula) would kind of bond them in a way. Jason would probably want Creeper dead for resembling the man that killed him and Creeper (who'd just regenerate after nearly dying if Jason did try anything) would probably mock Jason for trying to be a "better Batman" while only slaughtering goons and washed up gangsters like Black Mask. It'd be like Spiderman deciding to execute criminals and supervillains and then going after Stilt Man. It's probably just wishful thinking since Jason doesn't get to do a whole lot besides have the same arguments with the Bat-Family and maybe having someone new to bounce off of that could affect Jason on a personal level could be the thing that makes him not go around in circles too much.

With this game in general, the cope that so many people were huffing (except those who know just why these "modern" writers identify with villains) was that since the Suicide Squad almost always go against orders and/or screw up, that the "kill the Justice League" objective would turn into freeing and working with them against Brainiac, and likely against Waller since her team would love to have mind-control tech like that. But the current-year writers hate unambiguous representations of goodness, so it was always doomed to some plot-contrived nonsense that would result in the League being humiliated and killed.

Demi is dead ass one of the smartest African-American human beings on the planet. The amount of self-awareness and outright lack of bias for his own blood makes him literally one of the smartest African Americans on the planet.

Black Manta should not be in the Suicide Squad. He is, in my opinion, an A-list villain that would be in the League of Doom, but no way would he get captured and not find a way to escape. In the new 52 Aquaman comic, I remember Adam Waller tried to recruit him, but he escaped.
