Today we're going to be doing installing a Black & Decker Variable Speed Pool Pump from our friends at Poolpartstogo.com This pump was impressive. We're gonna walk you through the unboxing, the installation and how it sounds when it's up and running (spoiler alert: it's pretty quiet!).

I do not own a pool, nor do I see myself owning one. But I just watched an entire video on a pool pump, and did so with complete interest.

I’m looking forward to own a pool one day, and these videos have helped me to be more aware of the maintenance and responsibilities of owning one. I live in a tropical area… so I have extra work I think.

Worked on pools 25 years ago in NJ. Really like this variable speed. Simple to use and keeps the water filtering. Great video.

Always like your videos, but I think it becomes time to improve the recording quality. Always need to add volume to hear what you say... Then get blown away when the music starts... Maybe attach a small external microphone to your hoodie? Have a good one. 🎄👍

I am putting to practice everything my father taught me, but all the time I also keep thinking on p00lguy's videos. I do 100 pools a week in az. I would never use that on a client pool. Pentair and Hayward for the win. They don’t even make good tools

@@Randyhenderson868 one of my customers installed this himself... on a 30k gallon pool. If he wasn't a family friend I would have dropped him. Only been a few days so no idea the longevity but at 3000rpm it doesn't move the water enough. Keep in mind the pool already has very worn plaster and problems in the summer. I hope to come back in 6months and say I was wrong but this pump is more of a toy than a machine.

Good looking pump. But I would first check. If replacement parts are available. Shaft seal... orings... etc.

I'm surprised the electrical wiring is to code in Australia. In the U.S. (Canada too?), it's got to be enclosed in conduit. We have lots of silly regulations in re to pools, but protecting electric wires around pool equipment pads is one that makes sense.

Maybe this one might be good. We had a weird last year with our Hayward brands. Over half of the Hayward 700 series brand new only lasted a few months before everything started to melt up in the the new box they added to them. Definitely installed a lot more Pentair Superflo pumps after having that problem.

Black and decker are owned by dewalt. Its probably a label slap, pump made by someone else with black and decker branding on. Bosch do a similar thing with their power tools. Good idea though as parts tend to be interchangeable.

Bet that costs a bomb to get it shipped here in the UK, our pump went back in the summer, Got a new one from Aqua World wood pools.

Hi pOOlguy.. Love your videoes - but - it would be great with some kind of microphone in your videoes, for instance a Røde microphone or other compatible with your recording equipment... It's nearly impossible to hear you in the videoes.... 👍👍👍👍👍👍

There's an air leak some place in the same system if that air bubble doesn't go away in the basket. Running it at 3000 RPM should have eliminated all air in the lines It should be completely clear

The time on my B&D pump changes on its own , I set it at 10 pm and after 2 hours it’s 9:30 pm or sometimes I find it in 24 hr format , do you know why ?

On the back of the pump it states that the pump must be connected to a 2, multi, or variable speed drive? I thought that the display box on top is the variable speed drive. Don't we just supply 220v to the side terminals?

Yes had to be wired 220v. That's it
