Great video! You nailed it 👏 I play on console without artifacts and currently were capped to c10 right now. Im running 294ap 398dp 690gs evasion mystic, and I can honestly say to anyone watching this from console community: if youre playing evasion and your friends tell you evasion will be dead in a ditch in the near future, that is not the case at all and it's worth sticking with it. My advice is if you like any of said classes that can run either dr or evasion and you're not already fully committed to one build or the other in terms of caphras in gear and full pen - consider both choices carefully and make your decision based on your end goal and stick it out to the end because both dr and evasion can be strong but you shouldn't measusre the strength of the build youre aiming for based on how it currently performs. Different items boost stats significantly and make you meet new defensive milestones. Another thing I suggest to people chasing evasion builds is to keep a track of your gear progress on the garmoth website to measure your opponents hit rates, check out what elixirs & buffs to run and test your stats with different offhands 👍

Surprising to see Evasion vs DR video when I yesterday went over analyzing myself if I should go evasion or not, right now 660 GS DR awake musa. For now I'll hold it off I guess until c9 (im c7, c10 helmet ready for upgrade and tri fallen god). I worry just that if I swapped now my 294ap with kutum wouldn't be enough to hurt anyone anymore :D If I somehow managed to finally get 7 more ap to get over 301 ap then I wouldn't worry and go ahead, but for now I am holding it off... Need at least 301K and c9 on armors. Great video as usual \o/ SLOW GAMER GANG

hi i have a question for you BP. i'm an awakening ranger with DR build and i wanna tag an another character and it's a kuno. it's my second main actually and i wanna play both. so can i play kuno with DR build? i'm not end game, just mid gear. i'm still get one shot when i fall on the ground so will there any different between DR and eva build for my kuno?

What about Hashashin after changes? Eva still playable or forced to go DR?

Just want to add onto your video wit the Dr and Eva chart, classes like kuno, Sorc, ninja and Corsair have Eva passives can scale high Eva as well, I used to play full Eva succ Corsair was very tanky and hit hard back then when succession was op jus saying

As a new player with V tuvala, can we start building towards evasion or stick with the “safe” option in DR.. then switch later on when we can grind in 600mil/hr spots…. I dont know what to do. Help

That was a really good explanation, but, for new or lost players, just 1 more tip: Even if u have hell of a good dr/eva build, u will still be oneshoted BeCauSe PA *drunk* ClaSs balAnCe kappa. I play mainly succ lahn for pve and pvp, regardless of our none existing pvp dmg and accuracy, i still get 2-shot by 281+ap classes even when i have 690 gs 391dp dr at the moment. I swapped my c9 DR to evasion at the caphras event ( i have pen bheg urugon muskan leebur), and yes, i felt a bit more tanky, but still 2-3shoted by any player at orcs/monastery/rbf etc. Even testing pvp arenas with some friends who went with 277ap, still managed to kill me with 1 combo on the ground, maybe 5 or 6 skills. So i came back to DR build for a better pve/acc dmg. Don't worry if u keep being oneshoted, sometimes ur class is not in a good shape at the moment due to class balance, choose the build u feel good with and go hard on it =)

Thanks, BP! How always best content! I like how you explain. But do I understood correct? That if u are in fight versus a lot enemies, then DR is better over evasion, because of amount if hits you can get? And with DR you have more AP or DMG than with evasion?

If Corsair has evasion class modifiers why wouldn’t it be put under evasion classes? As well with Awakening having the “mist” bonus which gives % evasion buffs on top of that.

What ap would you recommend running a kite shield for example?

I am a Evasion Lahn and have to say, that Crypt is hell for me. It seems like the Monsters have so much Accuracy, that i basically get hit every time. I thought about switching to DR because i want to play Drakania, but decided to use my Drakania only for grinding for now. I just don't know if switching to DR is a good idea. I should have switched during the Caphras Event, now i would loose billions on Caphras. Good video, u explained it really good. I do think tho, that DR is better for the classes in the middle, when u do mostly PvE. When u do PvP and or use Nouver, u loose too much AP when using the Accuracy Offhand for Crypt tho.

a little addon regarding accuracy offhand, at least lahns also has high evasion stats. So it synergises very well with evasion builds, when ever an evasion build needs that extra accuracy using the accuracy offhand also gets you higher evasion stats for the build.

Hey guys, i back to the game in the last month. I`m a striker with a musah tagged. I have 282/337 and i`m a little lost about DR or EVA. For now my concern is about PVE and when i get 680+ it is gonna be pvp and pve. So, should i got evasion since now (i know with this gs evasion is meme but playing i can improve till it be good) or should i go DR until C12 and switch to eva then? Ty btw

Does this video still apply even now ? Barely coming back to this game and I left when 1100 evasion was strong but now it seems like that is not enough anymore .. I main mystic and tagged a Lahn before I took a break but even the Lahn has better base stats of evasion than the mystic now .. kinda lost on what to do ..

wait... you have to go with nouver if you build DR? man i can't sell my pen kutum because it was a season gears. sorry i'm kinda new to the game.

I don't know if I missed it or not.. But do you have an explanation on why warriors can't run eva.. And if they can what would the build look like? Asking for endgame like ash, cypts etc.. nw/siege..

I know you're a warrior main, but do you think Ninja should just start building evasion out the gate to save money or swap to it when ready(Pen c4 or higher)? I'm buying all my gear off the MP

Obviously, not to the extent that a class with evasion passives would, but I think the idea of evasion is very charming and am wondering if I could make it work. Thanks again!

I run eva, full ap accessories with accuracy sub. Works better than kutum. This might change when fallen god sub wepon come though. So until that, accuracy sub ftw ❤️

One thing that I don’t believe mentioned was pve. I’m on a succ kuno with dr gear: 297ap/357dp and I want to start getting into ash forest and oluns more. Does evasion or dr have a clear advantage in either of the areas?

Hey, thanks for making this. For those of us who are super casual - would you suggest simply going DR? Like I've played on and off for years, but I'm just now 600 gs. I'm at that point where I'm deciding which path to take, but I always hear that DR is the way to go until late, late game. Has that changed with artifacts? It seems like you can easily hit 700 eva without c9 stuff anymore which seems to be the universally accepted starting point for eva.

Right now you need gs 700+ for pvp or you get one hit.

I play Sorceress and I am using DR build. It is not my playstyle fighting 1 v X or X v X. Most of the time I play 1 v 1 and since I have s I do not use evasion. I want burst DMG so I made balanced build using AP/Human DMG and Accuracy. I have only 575GS but it was fun mocking Striker with 680GS.

I dont get the point at 5:25. 10% is 10%, no matter how many ppl hit you. If you evade 10% of 1 guys hits =10% surviveability, then you also evade 10% of the hits of each of the 10 ppl hitting you which also results in 10% surviveability. Doesnt make sense to me.

Pretty much spot on, only a few things I disagree on. Musa and mae really don't have an excuse to avoid going evasion anymore, it just makes way more sense. Tamer also should probably be in the DR or evasion category, her damage is nuts even at lower ap and her accuracy is solid, of course given they have no buff and passive you'll need to be very high gear before its a good idea. You could make exactly the same argument for awa ranger too. Lastly Hash goes in the DR or eva group now. He still scales really well with evasion but he lost his 12% accuracy debuff and his accuracy passive which makes DR a far more appealing choice now.

I tried drakania Eva on Ghyfin it is really good ngl...But PVP well I get easily smashed in RBF

TBH endgame is pretty much dead for an evasion build (I'm talking about Crypt).

Why shai is good with evasion? She don't have evasion passive skill.

Another thing that is important is the green evasion offhand, not all classes have it... So if your class has it, maybe you can meme kids with pepega evasion build KEKW

I always get different information on eva vs dr and this was a very thorough and well thought out video. Much appreciated my man. By chance would you know what strikers base eva buff is? As a passive buff is it always running? These aspects confuse me.

Unless they move ninja's evasion selfbuff to a skill that has 10 or less second cooldown it's just not worth it to build evasion. In awakening that is. Succession does a lot more SA trading so you could argue that it will benefit from evasion way more. The 9% is a huge difference and without it you're unlikely to survive..

Playing with 290k evazion Archer. And i will continue to play evazion. Ofc all say dr better for archer,but ... 😅

It's extremely depressing how every class in this game only has 2-3 builds. Where is the customization? Where is the freedom? Maybe they should have spent less time on jelly boobs and flashy combat and more on adding actual substance to combat and characters. But I guess it's not surprising from the country where a cosmetic surgery voucher is the standard birthday present to 14-year-old girls.

Dr building is very bad if not Valkyrie or rdd class. evasion build is bater .

When fighting a magic user such as Wizard, Witch or Sorceress their attacks ignore evasion and you only depend on DR. This has been proven on Ninjas fighting Wizards and Wizards killing them each time.

If you don’t have evasion passive or evasion self buffs, you’re wasting time building evasion.

Its simple. Dr is big chad build. Evasion is just cringe build for insecure players
