Seb Bouin is such a cool climber, always love seeing him try hard, such inspiring route! I hope this will get some well deserved attention from the pros! Love the editing and sound on this one beautiful with the classical!
@@GiorgosPlanar well, maybe it's just because he's not part of the main competitions in the world cup circuit, but seb is not one of the first names that come up on the news among the best climbers in the world (i mean, not as much as megos, ondra, ghisolfi, schubert), as far as i hear, at least. But I could be wrong
Underrated? Probably the 4th best rock climber in the world, for shure top 5! I would argue that Seb has done more hardest routes in general then Schubert, even if jakob did Perfecto Mundo with this route (among many others) Seb could easily be more consistent and stronger on the rock (and now he's trying Bibligohraphie, which in his opinion confirms this route as full 9b+)!
Don't forget that Jakob is and has always been competition focused all year and ticks off those outdoor routes in between. They are complete opposites in that regard and difficult to compare. Also because Seb prefers to do first ascents and doesn't repeat much 9b and above.
@@Setarkos91 its True! But we are talking about rock climbers here in fact... Not climbers in general (for that there are indeed the comps) and as a rock climber i think right now Seb is superior. Not to disregard Jakob or anything... He is the 5th best rock climber for shure!
The strings soundtrack accompanying the climbing from 7:15 is just perfect and such a nice change from the usual anodyne dross on climbing videos. Camera work and production values on these videos is of such high standard these days, well done.
I love everything about this, the quality of the picture, the music, the climb itself. Also, doesn't look like this route is Seb's limit. 9:00 looks amazing!
Seb Bouin is such a wonderful climber. It is really a work of art, both the project and the film. I love the song very much, it is really a good pair with the film. Really cool.
Super vidéo ! Le bas de la voie est incroyable à regarder avec ces deux mouvements où l'on croit que ça finit dans la corde mais en fait ça rattrape sur un bac. Et le haut avec cette montée de pied droit ultra dure. Musique au top aussi.
Brilliant really. Pure climbing of the highest form and elegant clean cinematography. May I say how much I prefer BD's videos compared to North Face's? They feel more honest somehow... Seb being such a real and down to earth guy is certainly helping toward that direction. Well done Seb for the historic send and to everyone involved for beautifully telling this story.
Work of art! Love Seb's style of climbing which often includes generous amounts of drop-knees. Issit a French thing? ;-) His videos never fails to inspire. The one of him on La Rage D'Adam was also a masterpiece. What amazes me the most is how he can be adjusting his fingers on crux moves for what seemed like an eternity & still have enough gas to keep moving! Total machine!! ;-O
Holy Wow Far Out Didgeridoos in the Sky!! That. Was.... SOFREAKINGFANTASTIC!!! And you kept the beanie on the whole way. 🤣 Mental climb fella, huge respect!! 🤘🤘
Le jeté sur la colo à 4:30... on sent que t'abandonnes absolument tout en fouettant le bras et en espérant que ça tienne. C'est magnifique et monstrueux.
I really recommend the video (on vimeo) from Lucien Martinez on "Beyond" the first part of the route. It gives an even better understanding of the difficulty of this route.
It's really telling when he gets near the top and it is still vertical what is left but you can tell that for him that is the same as walking horizontally, he did it. Great job.
Someone needs to explain me how is humanly possible to grab the holds, especially considering the inclination of the last crux Those 5 moves man, fuck, respect! I'm no one to say this is 9b+, but I don't think we'll see a repetition any soon. Beautiful video, great music choice and montage. Amazing.
super vidéo et superbe voie. Vraiment curieux de voir d'autres monstre venir s'y essayer et de tenter la répétition, mais ca risque d'être compliqué visiblement !
Stunning film, and incredible climbing. I wonder if someone is going to come along and upgrade this to 9b+ ? I'm no 5.15 climber but these moves look absolutely disgusting and Seb seems quite humble
