Hey! Thanks for taking the time to review the Forge. It's a favorite for us and glad to see that it exceeds your expectations. Looking forward to future videos!
sorry to be off topic but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Talon Kellen Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! Thank you for the suggestion as well that one looks great and I’ll be glad to do a video on it if I can get my hands on one!:)
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! Both bags are really solid, I think which is better depends on what you want to use it for. If you want something for travel the Aer is going to be a better pure travel backpack and is one of my favorites of all time. The forge is going to be better if you need something that is good for edc but can also expand for a trip when you want to pack out a little more. The build quality and comfort on both is great as well. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags!:)
Great video. I'm wondering what would your ranking be between: the Forge, AER capsule, the Pakt one, and Pakt backpack. Considering all the differences, which would you choose? I'm assuming they all fit as a carry-on (As you can see, I'm having a hard time deciding.)
Thank you for watching! All of those are solid options, if you are looking for something that works for daily use I would probably lean towards the forge as it’s expansion makes it really versatile. If you want something that’s more geared towards travel I would lean towards the capsule pack as it will offer more space and a more comfortable harness. The Pakt backpack is great, but there are some funky characteristics and it takes a bit to figure out the best way to pack it out and the pakt one is great but I am biased and would put it at the end simply because I still prefer using backpacks over duffel style bags for travel
Please be aware that the bag reviewed here has a different material compared with the one listed in their website. I’m waiting for the response from Blackember for replacement.
The "Forge Max" is just the Forge bag sold with a full compliment of the optional accessories. It's a bit weird that you didn't even mention the Forge 20 in this video. It's arguably more of an "Every-Day-Carry" bag than is the larger Forge.
XMACHINAv2 oh no, what I meant was that I wish the forge 20 has his normal pocket and then a separate zíper for the laptop sleeve, si te it’s all in the same place
@@Kobk.e I (still) think I understood you properly. What I'm saying is that the Forge _doesn't_ have a "separate laptop compartment". It only has the sleeve you can see in this video, and in the promotional video you can watch on the Black Ember site.
@@XMACHINAv2 Oh yea, and that's what I mean, they could had made the forge 20 just as the forge but without the expansion zipper and it will be great for a slimmer version.
I just bought a new Forge since I was happy with an older backpack of this brand, but instead if the model shown in pictures, which was in a gummy fabric finish like the other one I use, it came completely different. I asked to exchange it since it is not compliant to the sales page images, and they said they changed the fabric and that’s it. But if you buy on line you trust the pics and its not fair to send a different product. I loved my old one I gave my boyfriend and now I am just disappointed. Its not right to be sent a different product and be ignored, like it was my fault for their mistakes. I am not happy, feels like a scam. If you change the product, just SHOOT NEW PICS. Is it that difficult? Don’t blame a client that trusts your pics, please. Its sad and helps no one.
Exterior got replaced with a new "CORDURA® re/cor™ RN66" fabric. It reflects on the page now for the first few photos, but not all, it's weird. Durability issues came out after the kickstarter and tons of people were having issues with the micro-tex. I agree though, doesn't look as cool, but at least it won't fail on ya
If you order the pack from europe they will charge you sgnificant tax. Black ember dont let you know when you order it and the customer service is the worst I have experienced so far.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the videos have been helpful! Both bags are great overall, I would say for travel I prefer the techonaut’s space and simpler organizational layout, but for mainly day to day use with occasional travel I would probably go with the forge
