I 100% agree with you on Home Alone. The first one is so much better but I always end up re-watching Home Alone 2. I just love the vibe of New York City at Christmas. Plus how can you go wrong with Tim Curry?

I went to Target on Black Friday. They only had once little kiosk in the back for movies and one more by the registers that was it. I remember when they had movies on display all around the front of the store and multiple shelves in the back. They've really been downsizing. Super disappointing. I remember going to a two-story Target in downtown Seattle and coming out with at least a dozen new DVDs for a little over $100. I miss those days. I should've gone to Best Buy this year, but I was already there a lot last month anyway.

John I have critiqued you before about not having enough of these videos, I take back what I said this is what we 💕 from you I think I can speak for everyone in this comment section when I say that seeing you amongst the unwashed masses it's a great holiday treat. I can sit down with a nice cheese pizza and watch you roam the isle's of stores all day it just brings a realistic feel to your channel, like we are there with you on your trip.

I accidentally showed up at Walmart on the week they had their sale. Otherwise I would've been shit out of luck. On Black Friday I got 5 Blu rays for 5.99 each and the Bionic Woman complete series for 13.99 on DVD at Best Buy. Then I went to a local Record Store where they had their 1$ records on sale for 10¢ each so I definitely took advantage of that! I agree that the crowds have gotten smaller, mostly cause of the pandemic I suspect. However, crowds make me anxious so I felt a lot better not seeing globs of people everywhere I turned this Friday.

yeah i thought it was strange that Walmart had Zach Snyder's justice league for 9.99 2 weeks before black Friday, glad i picked it up before it went back up to $24.99 on thanksgiving. and good call on not getting the jurassic park collection, its already obsolete with a 6th movies coming out

10:31 Wow! That's a great-looking car there, John. I like the lines, curves, and angles a lot. That's some fine AutoCAD design going on there and yeah, it is sort of reminiscent of the DeLorean from 'Back To The Future'. I was also thinking 'Blade Runner' a bit. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. :)

I picked up many things this year, but it was mostly before black Friday. Even more unfortunate, it was mostly online. I picked up around 20 movies this year and 3 in-store from target. I ordered parasite on 4k from Amazon and surprisingly it came with a slip. Have a great day John and thanks for the content.

I had this same experience Black Friday hunting. I think Black Friday as we knew it is dead, not just for movies but in general. It just wasn’t fun,the energy wasn’t there in stores. I waited til Black Friday for the fun of it and didn’t find much either. Thankfully I did participate in Amazon’s sale....

Yeah! Walmart started Black Friday deals earlier. I got the Snyder Cut in 4K from $29.99 to $9.96. Bought it online and picked it up at Walmart.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed how bad the deals were on Black Friday. I live down here in the mystical land of Oklahoma, and I scoured so many stores and hardly found anything. Times are changing it seems. I did get an Alexa though, that was neat.

Great video! for a iphone video it looks really Impressive (had no idea i rarely use my Iphone for pics & videos except at work when need be) Black Friday is being expanded to a week or two prior to Thanksgiving got awesome deals on lots of 4k releases a week prior to the Holiday week (Online is the best bet just because don’t have to deal with the insane crowds! The one time i actually went out on a black Friday was 2000/2001 it was a nightmare (i was stuck in around traffic a good 3hrs on that day) Never again plus back then places like Best Buy & Circuit City only had limited stock (At least now regular sales items are actually easy to get

Honestly I’ll tell you this: we are going through a revolution. 10 years ago going to the stores to get deals were special experiences on Black Friday. Now: you can get deals just by chilling at home by ordering online on Amazon. Things really do change in life

I kind of stopped going to my local Walmarts for the past two months because they never had anything available because they were renovating and when I did go back the movie section had greatly reduced. I went to BARNES AND NOBLE for the last few days of their Criterion sale and two Best Buys where I got around nine discs. Like others I feel the best part about Black Friday is watching your viddys.

Best Buy and Walmart both struck out here in California. I just went on Ebay and bought The Martian with the Deadpool photobomb slipcover and a sealed copy of The Hangover with the slipcover. It's sad how physical copies are slowly just disappearing in stores.

Your Black Friday shopping trips are always my favourite part about Thanksgiving. And that’s coming from someone who lives in Australia where Thanksgiving isn’t a thing. Nevertheless we do have Black Friday sales anyway and I bought Black Widow, Shang-Chi, The Thing (1982), The Suicide Squad (2021) and A Quiet Place 2 all on 4K Blu-ray.

I work at Wal-Mart electronics and can confirm it's not just your Wal-Mart all Wal-Marts started giving their employees Thanksgiving off last year and started doing 3 black Friday events to avoid their being a big crowd at 1 they did their movie deals during event 2 which was the 2nd Friday of the month

Hey John when you think about it, the pigeon lady in home alone 2 is like the old man that kevin is afraid of in the first one. It's kind of like "don't judge a book by its cover" sort of thing. On the outside they may seem creepy and weird but when he gets to know them they turn out to be nice normal people.

i went out on black friday even though i wasnt necessarily black friday shopping, but i noticed there were like no deals at all anywhere i went shopping. the dvd's were almost like $30 at walmart for not even new releases? it was very strange

This is a proper sequel to last year, where you were so desperate for a deal that you went to Dollar Tree to find movies. That was also one of the funniest moments on this channel for me. Hopefully in proper trilogy fashion next year will be glorious and the Blu-Rays will be plentiful! I've gotten to the point in my collecting where only sales on Criterion discs and special editions of cult classics are exciting. I usually buy any new movies I liked at full price through the year and on Black Friday I scrounge up whatever I haven't seen for roughly the price of a movie ticket.

I honestly like my movies at like Best Buy, target, Walmart, etc. buying them online isn’t bad but I just like the experience of going to Best Buy and seeing all the movies that’s why Best Buy is my favorite store
