Oh! I get contacted frequently from page street publishing. I can recommend they contact you as a reviewer if you like and they will send you books when they come out. I haven't accepted any of their books because I'm not sure how I'd fit it in but I'd be happy to give them your info if you want.
I've had the two watercolor books in my cart for a while too. I'm looking forward to a review of them. I appreciate your reviews, they've saved me money a few times. Have a good holiday season. Hope you feel better soon!
I don't always agree with your paint and materials assessments, but I always enjoy them! I'm looking forward to the Meilang and Turner Japanesque reviews. I would also love to hear you talk about comics in general! About the Comics industry, your latest comic developments, being a creator, etc! Same goes with your perspective on illustration, and making it as a cartoonist and illustrator, and being genuine about pursuing those dreams. And maybe a look into how you do your youtube and tiktok videos. There's so much out there I want to hear about, besides hauls and products to buy. I love haul videos too, but sometimes they also disgust me. Consumerism is out of control ( I should know, as a hoarder). Please keep up the realtalk!
Hullo Becca, I am a very new subscriber just came over to see what your doing after the interview with Lindsay. I am quite excited to watch more of your content and I would like another viewpoint on those Art Whale watercolors! They are living in my Amazon cart too! They dropped to $24.99 and I almost got them, but I truly do NOT need more watercolor paints at this time!
Thank you for all your hard work on these videos Becca - I am finding them really helpful and also they are good company while working! I just bought a copy of each of your books (including the compendium and colouring book) for Christmas gifting :)
I always enjoy the field test aspect of the reviews as we work in a similar way lines and watercolour and I don't see any one else doing it on yt honestly I've learnt loads by just watching you paint Becca
Definitely looking forward to those Mei Liang tube reviews! And a parent/kid art kit would be great, too! I like tutorials, but the ones I'm most likely to do or share are the stash busters, bookmarks or ~4x6 to 5x7 size ones. Let's be real - I'm not going to have time to make a complicated/longer piece of work. Although I enjoy the commentary on the longer ones, the smaller projects are more likely to make me pull out the supplies.
PS - I tried to post a comment re Paul Rubens also making Gucai tube (and pan) paints in traditional (non-glittery) Chinese colours but it keeps getting automatically deleted! I think some sort of glitch...
I enjoyed my time with the Art Whale Watercolors! The NYC paper? It was okay at first but then I began struggling with it so I'm interested to see what your opinion is on it.
The Art Whale tubes are great. I really like those. Kind of afraid of your review though because I don't want to hear that they have a bunch of fillers or something that I didn't notice before. The 5-minute watercolor books looks promising; I bought the same artist's gouache book after renewing a library copy over and over again. Just constructive criticism, no hate intended: I had to look away from the screen and fast forward a few times because your hands are making me dizzy. Bordering on motion sickness.
Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm sorry my hands are giving you motion sickness, I tend to gesture with my hands a lot. Do timelapse videos cause the same motion sickness? I could definitely see that causing a problem, as sometimes I find those hard to watch myself!
@@Nattosoup I don't know! I'll watch later and find out. I usually put on your long videos to keep me company while I fold laundry, etc., So haven't paid attention to time lapse. P.S. didn't mean to sound harsh; I appreciate your content.
Hi Becca-not on the current topic but I wonder if you happened to get an email from me last week? It would have been probably last Friday and it referenced the ideas I had about your channel. I wasn’t sure if the email went through or perhaps it may have gone through like five times-by accident, lol! I tried to send it through your website and it kept saying it was having difficulty sending. I would resend and same thing. No pressure to respond at all but if you would let me know that it didn’t come through (don’t want to put my email and name out to the comments section in general lol, but you’ll know it if your got it I’m guessing! If not I can resend it through a more functional email address if you like! Hope you get to feeling better fast!! Take care!
1st time seeing your video and although I liked it and was very informative the contestant rapid movement of your hands was very distracting and unpleasant. Sorry but thought you might want to watch this video again to see what I mean.
Someone else commented that my hand gesturing also gave them motion sickness, so while it isn't an issue for me, I can see how it might be an issue. I do screen my videos multiple times before releasing them, but there will always be things that bother some folks and not others, and there will probably always be a few things that I miss. I appreciate the feedback.
