i tried corel once a couple years ago and gotta say they are annoying. either you upgrade yearly or they hound you with ads and pop ups in e-mails and inside the painter app. at least that's what i remember

for sketchfab and cgtrader the 30% discounts are no different than their montly sales. However, they usually do 70% off for cybermonday.

The Substance sale is silly. I JUST want the texturing tools, but what's on sale is the full 3D bundle that's still 90$ more expensive for the yearly plan for a modeler, "stager", and 20 extra assets. At least CC is on sale and still includes After Effects.

Otoy have a subscription they put on sale on black friday, that's pretty nuts value. I think it's ~$190, and you get EmberGenFX, but also 4 Kitbash3D kits (1 quarterly now, as corrected below), World Creator, OctaneRender etc. I liked it so much will be happy to continue this year (not discounted), mainly because of the Kitbash stuff. Basically if you want 1 item in the sub, it's a saving (let alone if you use multiple).

Careful not to fall into the trap of buying all sorts of tools and assets that you'll never use.

I'm using the tracker for Unreal products. Sadly, not too many good ones this year. Only a couple sellers seem to be offering high-end realistic props at 70% off.

If I didn’t already have Adobe CC Suite on my home machine via my university employer, I’d jump on the Affinity Suite v2… I already have v1 via Mac App Store from when they made it half price during the initial pandemic lockdowns.

Does anyone know any cheap facial capture software? Webcam mainly. Looking for something robust where it captures mouth shapes and eye tracking, and I can transfer that into a blender rig.
