Danish person here. The name of the beach is because John Laurence Jensen emigrated from Denmark in 1888 and set up his pineapple plantation there, which eventually became the town of Jensen. In danish the name Jens is a danish version of the biblical name Johannes (I think it is John in english.). The suffix -sen means "the son of". So Jensen means "the-son-of-Jens".
