Roy Wilkins (1901-1981) grew up in the Rondo neighborhood of St. Paul, Minnesota. He became a prominent leader in the Civil Rights movement of the 1950s and 60s, including serving as Executive Secretary of the NAACP and advisor to four U.S. Presidents.
