Interesting, I thought the black inc bar is quite flexy first thing after I put it on the bike. Looking for something a bit stiffer to replace it in the future
@@WinsteadSpeedShop I found this video as reference as both bars have almost the same design. Pro Vibe recommend 1-3mm although in the video it looks closer to 5mm. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2ANwg2IhTT8.html
In your full review of the bike, you mentioned the factor didn't feel as punchy as you would like because of its more gradual fork geometry. Does the vision metron stiffness do any good in compensating its responsiveness? Surely a stiff barstem send more road feedback to the rider? Any thoughts on it?
@@crunchyapplepie4987 the bike is very punchy in the sense it's very stiff and responds sharp to hard pedaling sprinting etc so it's delivering power without flexing. The lazy feel comes from the front end geometry ie the rake and trail of the fork. That makes it feel slow on the front end however at 30mph and riding super hard in races this lazy feel when training turns into a stable feel at race pace. The quick steering bikes at training pace can be more sketchy at race pace.
I own an ostro vam and I agree very much to your description. Currently, the black inc barstem that comes with the frame feel kind of short and narrow. I am looking to change or upgrade its cockpit. You have highlighted that both black inc and vision metron offer impressive torsional stiffness. Other than its geometry, do you see any other benefits to choose vision metron over black inc cockpit? How does vision metron barstem fare on rougher roads?
@@crunchyapplepie4987 the black ink drops turn up towards you too much and fast basically not enough drop. The vision drops a correct amount to me. Torsionally they're the same to me.
