What I don't like about black jack boots is the raised side seam on inside of shaft. That seems like it would be uncomfortable with all day use, until you would get used to it, but maybe you don't get used to it. IDK, I like a boot that has a smooth seam inside on the shaft, nothing rubbing the side of your ankle all day long. I only own one pair of boots so far, just got them. Los Altos Pythons Skins Wide Square. I am looking for a pair of rattle snake skins though, and black jack did catch my eye, but again I don't like that raised seam at all.
Also I wonder if the company that you used to get those black jacks from would make the shaft seam how I described .... I guess they could since they made them...@@MightySmaug
I like these Black Jacks. I saw your comment stating that they are true to size but Lucchese have a tighter fit. Would you mind explaining where you feel the difference? Thank you.
Great videos! I have to say when I saw your shark skin boot vid I figured I needed to give exotic boots a try again. Now I’m sitting at 4 pair of Lucchese’s (Carl Shark, Burke Wild Gator, 2 pairs of Nathan Smooth Ostrich 7&R toe) Rios of Mercedes 2 pairs (Safari Grey Elephant and Natural Rattlesnake) and 1 pair of custom order Black Jack boots that should show up next year. Great video! I have never owned a blackjack boot and looking to get one like yours as for the Vtoe did you go with that style for comfort or was it more for looks? Or was it both?
When you request a v toe they claim you need to get a 1/2 size shorter . don't listen to that I ordered a 13 1/2 and got a 12 1/2 big mistake I sent those boots back 4 times . the last time I said I don't care what you do with the boot don't sent it back here ever again I told them I need a 13 1/2 they said the experts say I need a 13. I sat d will the experts aren't wearing them but I was and im telling you right now it don't fit my foot.
