This game was so elite back in the day. This is the game that made me love pinball. And I still prefer this over the third BK with it's ridiculous morning star toy and almost useless top playfield and way too loud soundtrack, I don't mind a little rock but that is instant earrape the moment you start playing.
During the golden age of fighting games, I put my quarters up on the glass waiting to play M.K, *The Black Knight* would randomly do a cool light/sound show. It stood out from the other pinball machines. I like it more than Adams Family. I think it had a motion sensor because The Knight would taunt passerby *”GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!”* It actually scared younger kids & took my money. Edit: Whoa hang on, This guy is a pinball Wizard. I didn’t know there was an end game sound track!
Thanks, it is a really brutal game indeed. Fortunatly you can catch almost every ball coming from the top playfield so the way to go is to catch it and send it back up as fast as you can. Just be very patient and ignore the crap on the bottom deck as much as you can. It s not worth the risk of loosing your ball when you miss your shots. Also the ransom letters will still be lighted even after the game is over so if you have collected a few of those don t close the game and play on until you enter ransom where you have unlimited balls for 20 seconds and everything is lit.
Thanks for the great tips. I agree, the lower playfield is a nightmare. I don't know if it's just me getting old but the speed the ball can pick up is brutal. Loving your videos man~!
I think patience is the key in this game. This is probably the most gentle gameplay I have ever uploaded. Thanks for subscribing. Lately I find it hard to find a game in the left over section on TPA. I did most of the games that have a pretty deep ruleset and some just don t seem to interest me at all. So I was thinking about revisiting some of the tables I did early on and maybe try to complete some other games as well. Also there are not much tables left that actually have a wizard mode. I also want my fans to know I don t intend to buy season 6 until the negative things on the new UI have been fixed. Hearing about things like game crashes is something I don t want to experience. Also I am thinking about going back to Visual Pinball and focus on good games we don t have on TPA.
I have no experience on Visual Pinball nor on something like Unit3D PInball. What are your thougts on alternative pinball simulations such as those? As far as the new UI on TPA there are some things that I like (it's faster to pick a table and to sort them than the old scrolling method) but I know there's been a big uproar over it. Generally speaking it's odd that a series that's been around for years like that still has these odd sort of polish issues (not only on UI but also on weirdly low resolution textures and other things.)
To me it s not so much about the layout although I think the start screens when you want to start the table don t look so good when the logo's of the game are half the size they used to. It s more about the techinal dificulties it has and when something is good enough I don t see why force some half ass piece of crap upon to us, that is not correct. To be honest it is because of Visual pinball I got into virtual pinball play. That goes back to 2006. Over here it still is a dead scene since the early years of the 21st century. So playing real pinball became really limited. At this moment the latest Visual Pinball 10 (VPX) has an updated physics engine and also supports DX11, so that is pretty solid for freeware. Also there are more then 100 games made with this new engine. And there are now also solid setups that make instalation easier then ever. These setups also support the use of the older versions if you really want to go deep into it. Adding tables and roms is still a thing that is required. So it s always going to be a bit tricky to handle all that data with care. But it s no longer a nightmare fo configure like it used to be. Nowadays I run all different versions under the frontend called PinballX. That way I can run through my games in an identical way compared to the old UI of TPA. And I got over 450 games in my library running all versions of VP perfectly. Wich one is better is hard to say. Both are really solid and a true fan of pinball should probably need to have both to insure they get the best from both.
If you bought the table before the app “the pinball arcade” lost its license to Williams and Bally games, but it originally was on that app if u previously bought it you still own it
Yeah it definitly is. I have been playing around with pinball simulations of my own, take a look on my channel for current video's. We have much more realistic physics with the power of Visual Pinball, wich we call nFozzy physics
I know this is an old video but if you ever come back to this table, you can use the Magna Save to grab a ball that's about to drop into the outlane on the right side
I know but I never caught a ball with it. The new Black Knight is even worse with that button on top and the ball always seems to gravitate to the right outlane. I guess this version remains the best out of the 3
