That’s from the scramble area just to the north of it. We did a video on it, will be out in a week- it was one of our best videos and rides we have ever done

Love this video! I’ve camped at that campground several times back in 2017 & 2018, and there was no sign out front stating orv use prohibited in the campground, there was no rule in place at the time, people would cruise throughout the campground, but like always, people ruin it for the rest of us, I’ve seen some flying through at high rates of speed, some doing wheelies on their dirt bikes, so I knew it was inevitable.

The upper part still allows ORV’s but the lower part of the campground doesn’t. It is a gorgeous area for sure.

@@DirtyJakTheDustyBean⁠yes that’s what I was referring to, the upper campground, you use to be able to ride throughout the campground, it wasn’t limited to only riding to and from the campground, but I see that it has changed, my guess is because there were to many complaints of people treating the campground as their personal race track.

@@sheild1117 ahhh I see. We have rode the area a few times but only camped here once so far and got lucky when we were there as maybe 2-3 other groups were there so was pretty empty.

Looks like a beautiful spot 🙂 We always go up riding in the Harbor springs/Pellston Michigan area directly west of this one (beautiful trails as well), but we haven't done any camping yet, usually just stay at the local lodges. We have been looking for another northern michigan area to ride and I think we have found it !! Thanks for sharing. What time of year was this ??

@@DirtyJakTheDustyBean We ride the Indian Gardens ORV route. These are dual purpose trails( ATV/ORV in the summer and snowmobile in the winter) We do both. They are wide trails but very diverse with alot of elevation changes. Alot of good places to eat just off the trail ( Moosejaw junction, State Road provisions, Leggs in Cross Village, etc...) If you do camping like in this video there are places all around, but probably look at the Sturgeon Bay/ Wilderness State park area just north of Larks lake / cross village. If you do a little side roading you can make it up to Mackinaw city in short time, we did last fall 🙂

Loving your videos, where would you recommend me taking my sons for the first time up trail riding? They have Honda 110s dirt bikes and are used to riding in the backyard and hayfield behind the house. I have a 2 up quad thanks so much!

Thank you. Depending on how old your sons are and they’re experience level I’m thinking you want the quietest area you can find as the biggest issue you may face is riders coming at you or them at a fast speed. But of course that’s easier said than done as also nicely groomed, relatively flat and a bit wider trails would be ideal for new riders. I would say Leota and Luzerne have the most user friendly trails for new riders that I can think of (but may have a bit more other riders out there). Other trail systems may be a bit quieter but the trails are not typically as good for new riders.

Hello, We have a group that would like to come ride next spring or summer, what would be your best suggestion for several days of good scenic riding, with either cabins to rent or houses for approximately 4 to 6 guys, coming from southern Indiana. Thanks in advance.

Depending what your riding or if your a mixed bunch of machines. Your safest bet for great riding with any type of machine is the Kalkaska area (M72 Trailhead parking lot just west of the gas station and restaurant)

@@DirtyJakTheDustyBean We will all more than likely be on quads, and it would be nice to ride quads from the cabin or VRBO straight to the trail system, if possible, and hopefully have 3 or 4 days of riding.

@@craigriggs8173 The trailhead mentioned above does have a lot of good riding for quads, we are releasing some more video's that I felt had some great quad riding. See what you think about those as well as they come out.

@@craigriggs8173 Depending on what cabins you stay at, yes they are. This area is a lot of fun but keep in mind if your there for a few days there are a few other area's that have great trails and a lot more of them.
