Jones NotReal haha if you're not whelping fleets occasionally you're not far enough out of your comfort zone, anyway. People who are afraid to make mistake sin the game are afraid to learn IMO, so having a good attitude about losses helps a lot :)
I love it when Grath rages. I was literally laughing for 20 minutes during that epic sperg. This whole convo was awesome. The most expensive ship in the game blows up and Grath is the only one to rage. Love it. Also, jeffraider is perhaps the most chill dude ever.
I'd argue that games are not meant for fun anymore. Maybe in the 80's and 90's they were but now they are basically alternative lifestyles. In fact I'm not sure any of these gaming companies would still be in business if they made games with the intention of them "just being for fun".

Seriously, how fun can it be flying under a screaming piece of shit like that... i wouldn't. The best FCs are the calm and calculating ones. Tholarim, Nillie, Selene, Sir Molle, just to mention a few... those were the best FC's i have flown under. They never raised their voices, always calm and direct. I flew a few times under FINFL and they also had a great FC. But those days are gone now, the best players left EVE.
sad part was behind this vid, all the supers and revents where actually setup. but grath is to iggnorent to see that, and some of the shit he said in this vid, could actually get him banned. No need to get so mad over looseing ships in a game. when isk can be remade and ships re bought,
dude... when a titan cost 70-80 billion ISK and is valued at over $4000 USD and super carriers being valued at around 18-25 billion ISK coupled with the fact that pilots who work their asses off to scrape together the ISK to fight in subcaps which takes a ton of time losing shit is a big deal. Im sure you've heard the phrase "Internet spaceships are a big deal"

league games last 40 minutes, this game has been going on for 13 years...it takes like 3 months to build ONE of the ships they lost.....now your looking at like a few months worth of contruction...
in case no one told ou or you have not found out. PL lost a supercarrier called a revanent, for around 800 billion, it was the first ever lost in the 10 years of this game.
+OZ Dunstan exppensive polygons, since there is an trade value between plex and money. 20 usd to my knowledge is around 1bil isk. in other words 500 dollars. sure may not seem much, especially to someo0ne with a job, but it adds up.

Amir Ali The video is of the first Revenant loss in EVE Online, which is a pirate super-carrier (of which there are only about 5 in existence). They are hard to value, but this loss was 500 billion isk. For reference, a PLEX can be sold for 900 million isk and can be bought for $20. This video is from the perspective of a Black Legion battlecruiser, and the audio is from Pandemic Legion's voice-chat immediately after this happened. The story is that one of the PL super-carrier pilots thought it was a good idea to respond to an SOS from another PL pilot. He took arguably one of the rarest ships in the game to do so. It turned out to be a trap, as the pilot who called SOS was actually a Black Legion spy. Black Legion was lurking nearby, and jumped at the chance to kill this ship. So the Revenant was lost, and Black Legion had a massive win over PL. Also lots of rage. Plenty of rage.
So what happened?. Pandemic Legion essentially tricked Black legion into hunting within jump rage of their fleet and destroyed 500 billion isk worth of hardware?. Social Engineering at it's finest.
The other way around. BL fucked PL. It's the Better Legion after all. That was Elo at his best though. Maybe the best FC I ever had the pleasure to fly with, not just as a commander, but incredibly good at the intel and spy game, too. Couple years later, PL and BL were best friends.
