I was in cork last week and noticed a big black lives matter spray painted on a building and sitting under it was a white elderly homeless man holding an old bottle of drink or whatever and a blanket over him and he just staring at the ground while people passed with face masks looking at him like he was a piece of shite ._. I didn't have my camera ffs but that one shot could have spoken a thousand words . Modern Ireland is for the birds actually the whole world is gone off the rails tbh ..
Irish people are second class citizens in our own country. Hated by politicans who serve their Globalist masters, media report anti Irish articles daily, celebs are in on the anti Irish bashing too. Irish out the world in and if we dare to resist we are "wacist" and have no right to want Ireland to remain Irish or love our culture and heritage because it's "wacist". Odd that it's ok for Nigeria, China or India for example to keep their country and culture and identity.
The Irish fought for Ireland. They fought and died to have the right to be Irish. The Irish have just as much to complain about as Blacks, if not more.
Ya and I find very disrespectful for anybody to say there is white supremacy in Ireland, we all have the same rights and laws, it is a country of equality and to think of the 800 year of struggle and all the rebellions our ancestors went through, sacrificing their lives to ensure everybody on this land is treated equally I find it very disrespectful for anybody to say any different.
Irish Republicans stand with Black Lives Matter and there more Patriotic than any of you with your Free State Modern concept of Irish Nationalism 😂 You would stand with a Right wing British bigot that silently thinks he's superior to you before you stand with a Black person who's born in Ireland, Talking about Rebellions I see right through your BS 🤣🤣🤣 There right Ireland is Racist and it's cos of clowns like you.
Aiden Kelly it’s not about black people in Ireland, it’s about black people in America. Yeah we as Irish republicans should show support but gathering like this in places all over Dublin to march about something happening in America, in the middle of a global pandemic? It’s ridiculous.
If your talking about what happened in Cork most Black people are appauled by that as well, Regardless the Protest was to show solidarity to Black Victims of Police Brutality world wide if you want something else to be adressed you have to raise awarness towards it and have your own protest you can't expect black people to just add in everything white people want them to talk about into there protest, Nothing against you mate but allow them to address issues which they feel moved by and passionate about.
Aiden Kelly at the end of the day he was a criminal simple .. and they made him a martyr.. ? There were More white men shot by police unlawfully than black in America last year ? This man had 9 charges against ,Him for Christ sake .. one of which was armed robbery on in which he held a a gun to pregnant woman’s unborn child..
@@aidenkelly4528 But what about people whose lives are put at risk by their protest? They effectively said: we know that our march could kill more vulnerable people (covid-19) but we'll have it anyway. Even though there are millions of other ways to lobby government. Everyone else must stay at home of course because their issues are not as important as ours.
Great. Do as you like. Are we going to have a movement like this for the Irish Traveller Community? Remember those poor people who died in a fire because of the poor accommodation? Ireland is a haven for people from other countries. We welcome so many people with open arms. I have heard so much derogatory things said towards Irish people from people who have come here from other countries, not the other way around. Ireland was taken from the Irish people for over 800 years, suffering terribly, no food to eat, we have barely gotten our freedom 100 years ago and still a quarter of our island is not our own. This is not America. This is not the UK. Do not pretend the same stuff goes on here as goes on in those countries. Do not blow up a minor situation in your life and belittle the Irish people who welcome you with open arms. To say that a white Irish person has "White privilege" in Ireland is absolutely dispicable. Do not let the media push an agenda and a problem onto us that is not ours. We need to cop on with this before a bigger divide is caused between all citizens of this nation.
As a black irish you are completely right, minorities think we have the same problems as america due to media news etc. Irish people have every right to be angry and upset. The only problem I have is when “Irish nationalists” use this as an excuse to be racist and ignorant
Spot on . As someone who goes to school in a very liberal americanised school I see this anti-Irish and anti-tradition narrative poisoning are secondary level education. Where the idea that racism is a major problem in Ireland is pushed onto students ,This has ironically caused much racism towards native students who embrace tradition. It truly is the media shaking the jar
@@hippy1922 ethnic Irish people are people that have common ancestry (ie blood) and history with Ireland as per the UN. Non ethnic Irish are Irish citizens ie paper irish so therefore can never be Irish
Because theres a tiny percentage of black people living in ireland obviously its far more likely to see a white homeless person than a black one. What are you suggesting?
At least this BLM organiser had the good grace to say Ireland isn't a racist country at the beginning of this segment, that is far from what most of his other compatriots are saying, and even our own Taoiseach has said in the Dail in order to jump on the bandwagon. These people have had there moment in the sun, hopefully that's the end of it!
When this government and those that preceded it signed away our sovereignty to the EU we effectively had multiculturalism forced upon us, there was no referendum, the people weren't asked! Now we're reaping the rewards! And there is no end to it, it will end when this land is totally over run with people who have no ancestral ties to this country, and what was Ireland is gone!
What about all the lives destroyed by the lockdown in Ireland. Who is going to protest for them, people who have committed suicide, who have lost their jobs, their businesses, with also an increase in depression, domestic violence, addictions...what about all those lives. And you know what EVERY LIFE MATTERS...!!
NickyNicole X1 hi again protests are an american problem there is a way lower precentage of blacks in ireland than in say the usa and since they are so “rare” there is no major “black gang criminal” stereotype and blacks are seen as equal to everyone (except for the old religious dopes but you cant teach them anything) racism is not a problem in ireland but i fear people seeing these protests on the news will spark a lot of racism ironically
@@nickynicolex1 learn about Irish history and stop preaching, 800 hundred years we had it for, we had shit like this too, but we weren't out on the streets protesting we just got on with it.
@@nickynicolex1 a couple of things: You said; 1 'we need to stop suppressing black people in Ireland' How are black people 'suppressed' in Ireland? Give just one example. 2 'are you black how would you know what racism is like' Seems like you're saying whites can't be victims of racism....which is, ironically, racist 3 'you're either with is or not'. This sounds like a very Marxist statement, not surprising since the BLM founders are open Marxists
OK so we can't give our opinion as Irish people I said nothing rasist I just didn't agree with them and my comment was taken down immediately 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 this is Ireland the land we're I was born from were my father's father's were born from

I think people in the comments have the complete wrong idea they weren’t particularly talking about racism in Ireland but simply justice for what happened in America and they wanted to get involved totally understandable a simple movement nothing more nothing less
We are, the protest was in Solidarity with the victims of Police Brutality and Racism worldwide, it wasn't a protest against the Irish Government or something like that
@@aidenkelly4528 Give over, solidarity is such a liberal Globalist term, sick of it. Ireland is better than this horrible disgusting disease called liberalism which has poisoned this country.
@@thet1375 you're seriously taped if you think showing solidarity against police brutality and racism is just a liberal term. You need to educate yourself
Where is the Coronavirus? Serious question? The flu peaked in mid April and now we are into summer, flu season is over so what are you talking about? Have you really stayed in all this time because Harris and Varadkar told you to? Please go outside and enjoy the nice weather. Read up on foods and vitamins that will and has boasted and protected the immune system for thousands of years.
NickyNicole X1 hi once again, are you even irish? I have said this many times racism is not a problem in ireland all these people are doing is spreading corona virus and making a bad name for themselves i mean just look at the comments
Completely agree people should be treated equally...black,white,man woman etc but doesnt change the fact this is so stupid not social distancing with a pandemic going on there not putting there own lives at risk they are all I'm presuming healthy and young so there putting others at risk.
Your statement which leads your wannabe crusade is a contradiction to the equality you claim to want. Which is it? Equality or special treatment? Either way we are all sick of the rubbish you spit out everywhere.
