That's me. I was for Bernie in 2016 and 2020 & was so disillusioned. What people don't understand is that when you're raised Democrat, you LITERALLY believe that to vote GOP is an evil act that harms minorities, the planet, the poor, etc.

The idea of standing needs to be revisited. There are obviously cases where the idea makes sense but there are many others where it does not allow people affected by the actions of other people to sue to get justice. I hope people tell the next GOP president to take care of this so that the power goes back to the people.

Surely this is something like a rule from the bench in a situation where instead the defence has to argue in favour of a motion for dismissal on the grounds of lack of standing, the prosecution given a chance to argue against that motion, and the judge is responsible for consistency of their decision with the prevailing interpretation of the laws in question in regard to the suit as a whole, and whichever decision the judge makes; the aggrieved party gains right of appeal against the decision as a result of it having been made.

@@WellnessWizdom the lawsuit seems reasonable but it likely won’t go anywhere. There is a reason why the Supreme Court wouldn’t take the cases from 2020 even though multiple states found that their elections were ran unconstitutionally. Nobody wants to rock the boat any further than it is. If we accept that each state is allowed to break their own constitution or will create new laws to target political rivals that impact federal elections, then we really are not much of a country anymore. We just haven’t woke up and realized it yet.

I think that they have incorrectly use standing to dismiss cases they were afraid to take. But all courts use standing. Imagine a lady who I didn't know had McDonalds hot coffee burn on her lap, giving her burn injuries. She sues for millions. I see the story in the news and decide to sue McDonalds because I think what happened to the lady was wrong. It will be thrown out because I have no standing. Without standing the courts could potentially get backed up over nonsense. I could also see big Corporations using even more ridiculous lawfare to stifle upstart competition. So even more frivolous lawsuits. I am no legal expert, but just where my logic leads me

We need a law / amendment that clarifies this issue because courts are letting people do wrong without any recourse.
