Why are companies avoiding the 1/12 scale? What good is this next to a 1/12 scaled action figure.

Because it'd have to be over 2 feet long like the DC Direct Animated Series Batmobile. It would cost a lot. Even the McFarlane one coming out is undersized and fits one figure in a centre seat. That's 90 bucks.

Unfortunately it is not 18/01. the real Batmobile measures almost 7 meters long. In 1/18 scale it should measure approximately 36 centimeters in length. Unfortunately, there is no 1/18 scale Batmobile. The 1/18 Batman figure is 10.5 centimeters, he does not fit in this Batmobile. This one appears to have used the same format as the Hot Wheels.

I just got mine. Ridiculous value for the price at $45! The original Mattel version is still going for hundreds more sometimes. This is a nice heavy piece.

Just got mine yestraday. Good CP ratio, heavy die cast, faithful sculp, nice paint job. Biggest letdown is sound effect. You expect some high-tech Batman-ish sound effect, but instead you got same sound effect from toy car in dollar drift shop. I hope 1989 Batwing is next in line.

Actually, you shouldn't expect high-tech sound effects in a 49.99 car. The Hot Wheels version official price is more than the double and has no sound effects.

It's funny I just ordered this because I could never find the Hot Wheels 1/18 for under $150. And i refuse to pay that price, it's a rip off. But anyways. I ordered this... then won the Hot Wheels one for $30, LoL. Go figure right? It's cool though, you can never have too many Batmobiles.
