I think the founder of Sarcofago used to be in one of the first Sepultura lineups. Wagner or something, then went on to start Sarcofago. I.N.R.I is their best album. The drums start to sound fake after around 1987.

It's production methods and quality are so rare and professional, they managed to keep the drums 100% natural acoustic for what I would call a top class Technical Death Metal album with Grindcore-length songs.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Faust was enticed to commit the murder by Euronymous and the other psychos he was surrounded with. After all he was a kid back in the day, it makes sense that he repents for what he did now that he's an adult and can see things more clearly.

Faust was 18 when the incident happened... he was basically still a teenager when everything happened. Plus, it's impossible for most people to understand the mindset that this guys had. Black Metal was extremely enticing back in the day...if you got attracted by both the music and the ideology, and took it seriously enough... you could easily lost yourself. The fact that there was no internet also played a major role. Suddenly, there are this bunch of guys from Norway (and Sweden too...folks from Finland were less extreme, at least mentally. Musically speaking that was another story) who are taking the ideology very seriously and raising havoc. That, itself, made thousands of teens everywhere interested in it. And, the thing is... the music completely fitted all this, and was different, out of the standards, otherworldly even. Without being disrespectful to the younger generations... but if you always had access to internet and everything has always been at the reach of a mouse click, it will be very difficult for you to somewhat understand what was going on in their minds.

I always see Fenriz as the forest man, an authentic and natural guy. 👍🤘

fenriz has always just seemed like the guy you could just have a beer and fuck around with. he leaves his intensity on the stage, but off it? turns out he's just a really cool human being.

I used to meet him in a bar in Oslo when I was an exchange student there in 1999, he's just a regular, cool guy.

fenriz is also really into electronic music.
