Same! My moms would bust her ovaries doing tons of overtime before Christmas every year… I still remember the time I got me a “baby alive” , baby doll under the tree…. Lord have mercy, that was the best Christmas ever!! My moms is 86 now and can still beat my ass (no lie) and YES Ma’am I’m still afraid of her (I’m sure she still has that wooden spoon in her purse somewhere) 😂 …. But I know that she loves me and she worked so hard to make sure I had nice things at Christmas time, just like other kids ❤️💕🙏🏼
The fish fry and seafood boil is HILARIOUSLY ACCURATE. This is exactly my family....I feel seen. We have a seafood buffet for Christmas cause we are tired of the same greens, mac & cheese, etc etc.
Really? I love eating the same shit on Thanksgiving for Christmas. We make those meals specifically for the holidays in my family. We had seafood on my birthday, but that shit was expensive. 😭

I’m a young black mom and I just love the holidays. I only been a mom for three years and even though my kids probably won’t remember, I still am going all out for Christmas. This reminds me of the love( tough love) but extreme love I have for my children.😊❤️

I remind them weekly or biweekly to keep them in line for my sister. But of course I am going to give them all their lil gifts. Esp since she said she's not getting them anything this year.
