Agree souls games are so boring

It would of been nice if Wukong could parry the boss's attacks and counter it with his own moves of choice rather than just dash and rolling away to avoid getting hit.that would be quite repetitive.i hope that's not the case

@@Blenterprise205 that's not the same as a parry move...it's more satisfying and fun if u could parry the boss's attack and dish out some pain as reward for a successful parry.take ghost of tsushima for example to understand what I mean 😉

​@@Final_Fantasy_7 🤔According to some Chinese demo players’ descriptions, the parry in Black Myth: Wukong is similar to the posture breaking in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice., but it doesn’t seem to be as visually spectacular as the deflection parry in Ghost of Tsushima (that kind of time-slowing perfect parry is indeed very cool). Without more videos, it’s hard to determine the effect of the parry, and this game company is really good at hiding things. There probably won’t be any major promotion before the game’s release, so we can only know more after it’s released.

I heard one of the early tester said if you don't skip much, by the time you reach bosses, it will be much easy to fight the boss because you are much stronger for the challenge.

There is a mechanic more similar to a parry than stone skin. At 2:05, it resembles the Foresight Slash in Monster Hunter. To execute it, you need to perfectly time the heavy attack button.

@@cleancodetutorial Never played Monster Hunter, but I rewatched the video, and I did see some small effect at the time stamp you mentioned. The stone skin parry knocks enemies clear back tho, even the bosses.

As I know according to the limited information, the game use a new style to adjust difficulty. Not to choose at beginning, but you can collect more materials or fight other monsters to get skills to make the main game easier.

Not chosen difficulty but variable difficulty. If we beat some bosses very fast, like half HP in only 80 seconds, they will turn into the 2nd stage. This mode can meet the demand of both light and heavy gamers.😊

In the demo on Gamescom of 2023, there was such two bosses can transform into another stage.

Well, I would say that this game is little bit leaning toward Asian players. The character design and the name Wukong itself are enough to hint all the story and lores, which should be from the traditional Chinese: Journey from the West. The novel’s tv series adaptation is commonly known across Asia since 1986 (mainly china and south east region - I would say). I’m not really sure about others, but the main reason for me to buy the game isn’t about the combat mechanic, but the lore itself. Being successful or not, gameplay lame or not, the name “Wukong” and the traditional design which shows a nostalgia of the TV series are what going to make me enjoy. It’s one of the main elements of Asian people’s childhood, so please give it a try❤.

Exactly it’s like a chain of mobile arenas with lots of boss battles. No exploring or sense of environment beyond mini arenas

Everyone already know the lore and the story I mean who doesn’t know the journey to the west It’s literally the most popular book story in East Asia

they already show a lot of boss fights without a single exploration or anything... so I can say that I will pass from this game. I've been waiting for this game for years, but it looks like it's not what I expect.
