One thing the unreal engine 5 does well is bring real world physics into gaming world, the way rain falls or running in the snow or wind swaying through Wukongs hair. It’s truly amazing. Definitely AAA+
There are a lot more stories in this game if you know the Chinese book/tv series journey to the west. A lot of scenes are from real Chinese historical sites in Shanxi province.
This is going to be absolutely amazing. Watching how far games have come since my Nintendo dsys as a child to this. And to think this is merely just the beginning.
Thanks for the insights into Wukong’s story! Immersive Translate made it easier to see how it reflects Chinese cultural themes and the Journey to the West.
I’m so glad more people are talking about this game now Edit: I’m even more glad that this game is getting so well received. Can’t play it yet, because I’m an Xbot :/. But I’m really glad this game turned out well and is selling gangbusters!
I mean, in this specific case it makes sense. There's other action games that has a drastically different style, like DMC. And you'll never see someone call it a "souls-like."
That’s what, every third person game where there’s a mythical creature with a little bit of magic type of combat they’ll be saying wow it’s souls like, elden ring my foot.
I’m guessing it’s inspired by soulslikes but made it more accessible and less ridiculously hard, maybe put a bit more effort into player experience and actually try’s to make it enjoyable and fun instead of an infuriating death fest. I love soulslikes but there’s definitely a gap in the market for something in between say dark souls/elden ring and maybe FF7 Remake/rebirth or DMC/Nier Automata.
Sincerely.. im so excited. Between Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro, and Monster Hunter - this has to be the hypest yet. It looks like Sekiro and that makes me more excited. Sekiro was the hardest game I've played in my life, and to know there might be a game to surpass it is entirely epic. The fuedal japan style.. inuyasha fans, sekiro, and wild imaginations/story lovers will eat this up. Gonna play on the hardest difficulty if there are any, but, like Sekiro, i hope its just brutal and no difficulty is set - just mastery ❤️❤️
@Youl-o4f Ninja Gaiden? 😂 definitely not harder than Sekiro. I beat Ninja Gaiden Black (a harder version of the game) and all of their challenges when I was 8 😂 Sekiro legit was the hardest game I've played other than the Fear and Hunger games, which are absolutely tedious and frustrating. I would've at least like to hear a comparison to Elden Ring of all games, seeing how it's the most Sekiro like game as far as the souls games, just medieval-ish. I can strongly disagree that Ninja Gaiden is anywhere near the same tier. They can prove challenging in certain ways, but I never quit playing a game the way I did with Sekiro 😂 I was genuinely upset from how many times I died to certain bossess/stages.
The part where wukong extends his staff while the dragon uses it's lighting is a perfect background wallpaper for the ps5 if the ps5 have that function
The stick in Brother Monkey's hand is called the Golden Cudgel. It was originally the sea-controlling thing of the Dragon Palace of the East China Sea: the Dinghai Shenzhen.
I was having trouble with wandering wight at first then I realized I had to fight someone else first to get advantage on him.😅 Now I’m level 30 fighting the tiger vanguard 😌 which I’m 0-5 so far 😂
Put your ps5 behind a locked and closed and strong cabinet when you are gaming, take the key and give it to your neighbour, so when you wanna destory your ps5 you have to go through to your neighbour
"Annoying" is a much better word to describe the flying dragon fight. The same goes for a bunch of the bosses in this game. A lot of them are pure lazy bs that teleport and ignore mechanics like parries, immobilize and have absolutely zero stamina bar to worry about then they're doing their 17th 45 attack combo in a row.
@good_boy_1947 you mean goku has a power pole like WuKong has. It's the other way around because Goku is heavily based off of Son Wukong. That's why they call him "Son Goku". He even has the Flying Nimbus also.
@good_boy_1947 yea it is , try looking it up. It should sure you everything they have in common. Including all the things that Goku has that's based off of Son Wukong
@@The.Luciferian no one copies elden ring…its called a genre…the genre is called soulsbourne…its entire purpose is to be challenging…why the hell would anyone want a chill game with a story u can just walk through with zero challenge…thats wasted potential on a game about a character this cool…the game should be challenging no one said it had to be impossible
@@factory_enslavement difficulty levels hardly make the game any more difficult…most times i’ve noticed difficulty levels only increase the damage u take from enemies…which genuinely is not that difficult or challenging
I bought this game without any knowledge or anything about it! I was playing College’25 the most and then madden 25. NOT ANYMORE! I CAN STOP PLAYING THIS GAME! EVEN DYING 20 TIMES
I still advise you not to play this game, 'Black Myth,' even though it has set the record for the highest number of concurrent players on Steam globally, is the cheapest AAA game, and has received high scores from several mainstream gaming magazines worldwide, as well as being the top-selling game in multiple regions globally. But I still want to warn you against playing this game because it made me take time off, stay up late, mess up my schedule, and delay important things. My health deteriorated, I lost my hard-earned job as a delivery person, and even my wife ran off with someone else.
As a huge fan of journey in the west and the wukong mythology, I’m really scared they f*cc it up. I hope it’s not only a souls like game with no story. And when they make a story I hope they really have everything from the mythology and don’t create some bullshit
@@XAMAKA... People to this day spend hours discussing the lore of dark souls, maybe the mainstream average player doesn't care but to say "these games are not known for their lore" is just completely false especially dark souls
@@XAMAKA... bro idk what to tell you you're literally just wrong, there's physical hard cover books of dark souls story being sold by fans, its an incredibly massive part of the community, vaatividya lore videos average at least a million views on both dark souls and elden ring obviously people care about the story and these are "story games"
