For looping streak if they dont want streak spam. They can make it so that after you get your streaks once, they now cost more to get the next set in the same life. First Set (same life): UAV 500; COUTERUAV 650; ADVANCED 1500 Second Set (same life): UAV 800; COUTERUAV 1000; ADVANCED 2500
not that bad, definitely should be used for more powerful streaks (the usual uav at least should be excluded from this, maybe even the counter uav possibly)
I don't think omnimovent is necessarily faster, more so more free flowing then just sprinting forward, or diving forward. In all the footage we have seen it does look pretty slow, although I am certain people will find ways to move faster.
You're completely correct... and you won't get it! They'll cheap out and you'll get the same or worse experience as always as they pay the shareholders and f*** over the people who insist on paying money every year for dog's doings.
Looping streaks should be in every CoD. It rewards continuing a streak and pushes players to get better. It doesn’t change the spamming of streaks whatsoever cause all you have to do is die to get them again. Speaking of streaks though, we should also go back to being able to choose whichever streaks we want and not have them grouped.
I don't believe them for a millisecond that they're going to be "listening for feedback" on this either lol. They've already proven that whatever the core mechanics are at the beta will be the core mechanics for the entire life cycle of the game.
As a huge fan of loopable streaks, it's somewhat encouraging that they haven't completely shut the door on it. I doubt they're gonna revert it no matter how much feedback they get, so I'd gladly take your suggestion (loopable non-lethal streaks) as a comprise as I do see it being the most balanced solution
I think it's stupid. Maybe they should just get rid of the score bonus from lethal streaks if that's their concern. Really should let good players loop streaks as long as the lethals don't stack (even if it's a perk (i.e. Kill Chain)).
@@andreivaldez2929no they just need to increase the amount of score/kills you need for the 2nd and 3rd loop onward. That would solve the issue with spamming streaks, even giving less score like Ace suggested would help as well. Honestly these suggestions would massively help MW3 at the moment as well
Nah they shut the door on it. They've proven that whatever design choices they make in their meetings will be staying for the entire life cycle of the game. They just have to say "we're listening" so ppl will buy the game instead of getting mad at them and driving their bottom line down.
I dont get there take on the movement, why do they care about the skill gap, with how disgustingly strict SBMM is it isn't going to affect the casual players since they'll never run into the good players anyways...
The devs we actually see, in videos and articles and stuff probably don’t even want Matchmaking the way it is. Just like all of us. I hope the general movement is toned down and the Omni Movement is more relied upon.
I think a mechanic that could balance scorestreak spam is the scorestreak cooldown timer from Cold War. So while scorestreaks are active, or even for like 15 to 30 seconds after they're active, any score you earn won't apply to that same scorestreak. I think this could counteract the "scorestreak spam" while allowing everyone to earn each of their scorestreaks more than once per life.
Yeah, we tried that in Cold War and guess what. People started to wait until their score counted again. There's really no reason to not have loopable streaks. There are so many things you could balance so it doesn't get out of hand. Besides, we have them in MWIII and honestly, not much has changed.
My main problem with this is that if using this new movement system doesn't give you a noticeable competitive edge/benefit, why is it even in the game lmao sounds like a waste.
The problem with score streaks not looping is that bad players can actually call more kill streaks because they reset. I usually play whatever is low and efficient. It’s very frustrating when you’re at 24 KS and you can’t get another UAV….
I can somewhat understand non-looping streaks. If you're going for a nuclear you wont be able to constantly spam uav and advanced uav. If you arent, then you can just throw a grenade at your feet once you hit your highest streak
Nah looping streaks are only useful for above average players. They don’t really help the average or below average player. Most people are about average (whether a bit better or worse).
They say they won't let streaks loop to cut down on streak spam, but what's stopping someone from just nading themselves after they get their highest streak? Nothing. This is a silly decision that doesn't fix anything. It just makes the game less fun for people who go on long streaks. I agree with Ace that streaks shouldn't chain since it causes lobbies to snowball really hard, but streaks should always loop in CoD. All you're doing by not having looping streaks is punishing people for not dying.
Love hearing directly from the devs, and their insight into balancing and design. For streak looping, I'm really hoping they are open to changing that. I think looping should definitely be allowed. Nice to hear him say "currently", maybe they will be open to changing it. I am a bit worried about the new designated melee slot. Now every single person will have a melee weapon. That sounds like it could be very frustrating to deal with even more melee players. I'm a bit more open to it since he said they did tune it first and actually balanced it. So maybe the default melee won't be that great, less range and less forgiving with hit angle than normal melee. Hopefully to have the melee be more effective it will require use of a perk or two, in a competitive perk slot. If they do something like that that might be ok. Treyarch haven't let me down yet though so I'm excited for bo6.
@@PhilBot4OOO You can earn them and have 4 slots for streaks. And die use a different class doing this let you stacking them With no limits. It was also easy to get points by Joining someone else control streaks. 50 points each time you do it over and over.
Looping streaks and Stacking streaks need to be in bo6. The point stacking could be set at 25 pts so that the streaks arent too easy to earn and UAV and CUAV 10pts assist points should count I dont know why they removed that from MWIII But the streak stacking from MWIII at 63 pts per kill is too much just make it 25 pts
I'm good with the melee spot but I do think they need to nerf that a bit. It's just a little fast and unstoppable at times. Melee should be more of a shadow operation instead of let me come right at you and I can't be stopped. But again, I'm not against it, but it's a shade fast.
Very happy to hear Omni-movement was built with fluidity in mind, slide cancel being so jarring is like 99% of the reason it's so meta/annoying to play against
In terms of streaks, I think if they are really committed to them being non-loopable, they need to make them really impactful like the higher end streaks used to be. It is bad enough that the highest streaks are going to be hard to get in strict lobbies (for good players) without reverse boosting but if you stack unrewarding streaks on top, it just won’t feel worth it.
I think that a looping scorestreak system with a 20-40 sec cool down timer upon use per life, and all the timers also reset upon death would be a solution for allowing less streak spamming while also keeping the streaks to loop (also adding a weapon-only ultimate killstreak along with no streak stacking streak ofc).
There could be a perk that allows you to loop streaks, and put it in with some other "crutch" perks so people have to make the choice to choose that over something else that's really useful.
I really dislike them adding 3 more re-skins of small maps to flood the map pool for MW3 though. It's really frustrating to get small maps spammed in the map voting game after game. Wouldn't be so bad if there was a no-small maps playlist.
Mtz 556 hands down. I would argue this is the best AR in the game. Try this build: quartermaster, dr6 hands-on, stock (that does -21 gun kick), 50rnd mag, mk3 reflector.
6:45 if they want to reward plater FAIRLY, then loopable streaks IS the answer. Non-loopable streaks is simply anti-player friendly 6:55 so basically because the dev(s) happen to be bad at the game they made, we have to suffer? The next logically step should actually be to make the NUKE (or its equivalent) loopable TOO, assuming it doesn't end the game. Not reverting back to non-loopable regular streaks. As for stackable streaks, I'm ALL for it, but I can see why that in particular MAY be a little too easy.
I think loopable but not stackable killstreaks would be perfect. I understand the argument of killstreak spam but I feel like you only get to that point the moment they're stackable rather than when they're loopable. UAV spam isn't all too bad in my opinion considering it's always a low end killstreak anyway and you'd still have to take some time to get to the higher killstreaks once you're looping back through it.
IMO for looping streaks, it depends on the strengths of the streaks, if they are MWIII levels of streaks then I'm for looping, but if they are like og MW2 streaks where a single chopper gunner could win you the game, then no looping streaks, for me, it entirely depends on how strong the streaks feel
Sounds like they want to get rid of UAV spam without understanding how it's done. It has very little to do with looping streaks. I would understand this with the AW-style pick-13, which included streaks. But as long as you're forced to pick 3 streaks, the ability to loop them makes very little difference on how "spammable" they are.
Biggest concern for me is SLOW TTK + LAGGY SERVERS + FAST MOVEMENT = extremely inconsistent matches, gunfights and general feel of the game. The benefit of fast ttk is that it makes laggy servers and fast movement kind of tolerable due to the fact that actual felt ttk is relatively consistent in feeling and practice both with and without lag.
I played COD because of the killstreaks, I saw good players get them and crush me. I played and practice until I was able to get them, it was so rewarding. Now I need to practice until late in the evening after work to keep up the movement, but I am unable because I have a family. Please let COD be simple again, just like XDefiant without abilities and with killstreaks
My prediction is that Omni movement is going to be mostly used on a casual level as stated, but Omni movement in average to above average brackets is most likely not going to be used, I’d imagine it’s going to be super punishable and ur not going to be as accurate, it’s more of a novelty it seems but Omni directional sprinting might be really good,
Just make a looped mode for score streaks. I wanna get into mayhem. Not every cod needs to be balanced to the T. Over balancing is what made these newer cods feel stale after a month. I want to feel like an “action hero”. Just play the standard version of multiplayer if you don’t want score streak spam or strike maps if you don’t want any streaks. Now THAT would be good balancing. #CODPOD
Being able to sprint backwards means being able to cover your own tactical retreat instead of having to make the choice to turn your back on the enemy to move faster. Sounds like it's basically arena-style FPS movement in COD, which sounds great to me, but understandably divisive.
One issue i had with Cold War was the movement it felt jank and unpolished it felt sharp in some ways and was off putting so i hope when they say it's fluid it better be.
ace 👍 for scorestreaks, it should be loopable , why do i have to die to get my streaks again? if we are good, then we earned it, and we want to use it. thats the core of grinding ur life. why punish people for that?
Omni directional movement is the only thing so far that might get me to buy bo6. I loved the perk that let me sprint in every direction in payday 2, it just feels good
The intelligent movement system that they're talking about, fancy words, but it just sounds like a accessibility feature more or less. Maybe for players who physically cannot press the buttons as easily or for whatever reason they might have trouble with the movement. Makes me curious if they took this level of consideration in for low vision or fully blind players or partially deaf or totally deaf players? I've been told that this Year's title has improved the accessibility, but I'm not entirely sure how yet. I've been trying for years now to reach out and talk to them about it. I get that the totally blind community is extremely small but still
Black Ops is sounding better with every bit of info we get. My big frustration right now is currently playing MW3. So, they are just gonna waste MORE TIME making f'n "variants" of small maps?.... Again?... How about spend that time to make NEW MAPS, or work on server stability?
@@michaelespeland Idk man, it's their cash and they can spend how they want it. if they feel regret, that's on them. They might even enjoy the game whether it's a flawed or a superb experience.
@@pseudolukian2172 Why not wait? Its the same game no matter if you pre-ordered or not. Why not wait to see how it is first, and then possibly save your money? Shitty business practices keep coming, supply and demand
Tunning a mechanic based on not leaving casual players behind is kinda ridiculous considering SBMM, the matches casual players play are not the same as a high level player. So if a mechanic is crazy, casual players will not abuse it or get abused by it. If SBMM was removed or toned down a lot, I could get behind that statement
In Cold War I was top 2% while playing casually and have a job. I would rage constantly and my girl ask me how am I having fun when I’m always screaming in which I said “ I am not having fun I just need something scream at “ I stopped playing 4 months after release
Right from the get-go there will be people who are crazy with the movement. It's not gonna stop me from playing the game, but there will be some crazy sweats right out of the box
You can live without omni-movement becouse if you are not good player who adapt to mechanics we are delivering now, there is a harsh SBMM system that we implemented years ago xD
looking forward to the new movement! but hope sbmm will be better... playing multi or warzone is just to sweaty all the time... for me as a 2k/d player every lobby feels like world series of warzone...
I really hope that Bo6 fixes disbanding lobbies after every match. SHG promised us to test out non disbandong lobbies in a future update but that still hasn't happened.
Same servers, same issues. The lag and packet loss in MW3 at times is terrible that hasn’t been fixed yet. BOPS 6 is using the same servers and netcode. So what’s gonna change? Nothing….
what to they have against melee players? we are literally at the biggest disadvantage being that we are literally bringing a knife to a gunfight? the hell????
If the Omni movement system is just to look cool, it's not worth having. I think they are being misleading, it is going to be much more than looking cool and doing cool things. I bet it will be game breakingly important to master the omni movement to be remotely competitive. We already see people exploiting movement mechanics to crush people. This will be no different.
This being on game pass will make it my first time on CoD since MW2019. I’m definitely interested in what they have planned, but trying to keep expectations in check.
Why pay $80 for a game with just some stats tweaked for multiplayer and likely a half baked campaign when you can play XDefiant which is free? Genuinely curious.
Completely disagree with their take on looping streaks. Even in games where looping streaks was possible, finding a lobby where people were just spamming them without dying was very rare. Most people die before or after they get their highest streak. Additionally, it incentivizes you to keep playing well. Why would you keep going and get 15 extra kills if they don’t count towards anything?
I really don't see the problem with looping streaks. Without them, the game is literally punishing you for staying alive after you've earned you're highest streak. You're technically better of killing yourself so you can start earning streaks again. Makes absolutely no sense.
