Electric motorcycle still have some issues riding on extreme cold temps. For examle the guys from the appletv docuseries long way up had a hard time getting the bikes to charge un sub zero temps. On the other hand electric cars may not be as affected becuase they can pre condition and temperature regulate their batteries.
Hi Diego, hope all is well! I had a quick question - Is there any differences between the Harley-Davidson Livewire that is going for $30k on the HD website, and the Livewire One that is $8k cheaper on the Livewire site? I know you mentioned on Matt Laidlaw's channel that the powertrain was from Mission Motorsports, etc. I wonder if there are any internal differences in branding/tech that allows for such a large drop in price with the Livewire One...like a change in battery manufacturer, powertrain, or some other internal components.. Is it really just taking the HD name off the bike that allowed the $8k price drop?
The new LW1 has branding changes and some runnin electronic changes on the on board charger which make it more reliable when charging. It also has some basic on bard charger location changs which make the seat lock a bit different. Thie means a corbin after maerket seat will not work on the LW1 it will only work on the ELW (HD) So to sve the 8K I would get the LW1.
