lol I'm a white guy and I loved WW and I'm even more hyped for Black Panther (my favourite character in Civil War). I hope everyone gets behind this movie like they did WW (if it's as good as it looks).
The casino scene and the flipping car scene is set in South Korea. A few movie critics were shown those scenes earlier in the year. The casino scene many have said is very "James Bond" feel to it.
Kevin Feige: "So Ava, would you be interested in a Black Panther movie?" Ava Duvernay: "You know, I've been wanting to do this passion project with Disney for a while. You should talk with Ryan Coogler. I wanna hear what he has in mind." Kevin Feige: "Sounds great!"
That wasn't his sister Shuri. Shuri is being played by a much younger teen actress. I'm bummed because I always thought Lupita N'Yongo would be a great Shuri! Imagine her taking over the Panther legacy by the last Blk Panther film?! So many possibilities!!
Gotta love Overlord Feige. Refuses to let DC have more than a few days before making sure its all about the MCU again. Mans a fucking genius franchise monster!
13:39, yea let's forget all about Blade, Blade II and Blade III. Granted, Wesley Snipes is not a part of the current universe continuity, but he was still a Marvel superhero before it was cool.
I suggest that you re-read my comment. I clearly stated that he is not a part of this current version of their universe. The fact still remain though. He is a Marvel character, of African decent and a superhero.
Hey. When I woke up this morning, I found out that the "Bright Knight" Adam West had died. I got to see him and Burt Ward a few times. The last time was last September at a convention. Today has been pretty sad.
Rest in peace Adam west you were hero to me. It brought me so much joy to watch Batman TV show. The show was part of why I fell in love superheroes and si-fi that Adam west see you next time same batime same bat channel
I think most people have heard of BP. He's pretty much top tier at this point. It'd be another story if we were talking about Dwayne Mcduffie's pantheon or Night Thrasher... But Black Panther is a high visibility character. Not that that's a bad thing.
Speaking of things people haven't heard of, a lot of people don't know much about Africa but I can help with that. I just made a video analyzing all the African references in the Black Panther trailer. Please take a look.
you know what would be cool if blade was friends with black panther, while visiting him all hell broke loose, then have him walk-in a scene in the pivotal point of the movie slaps some bad guys around and when he's finished have him say I'm supposed to be on vacation
Craveny Actually he is the 4th. There is Spawn and before Blade there was Steel (DC) with Shaq (probably the first one). If you want to include original superhero like characters there are the likes of John Hancock and if you want to be technical Blank Man (though a parody) can be taken as a black superhero and I mean Deadpool is a parody superhero but it's up to your interpretation.
I get goosebumps every time I watch T'Challa flip over that car. It is AWESOME! Also, I'm sure other posters have hit you over the head with it by now, but Freeman plays EVERETT K. ROSS.
People keep bringing up that Marvel released the trailer to take attention away from Wonder Woman, but I don't understand how a teaser for a movie that's 8 months away would have any effect on Wonder Woman, a movie that's already out.....
Joel Schain I guess so people can once again talk about Marvel stuff again, I don't know lol. To me it just seems like they wanted to get the hype train going and tease what BP is gonna be like, and the best time to do that is summer movie season. It's just dumb fan boys honestly. Who gives a shit why they released it now you know? As comic fans people should be excited about both. This nonexistent "war" between both companies that fans think is going on is dumb, especially since they have no stake in it. We're living in a time where comics aren't seen as stupid and nerdy and they're whining about nonsense. Enjoy the fact that Wonder Woman and Black Panther are even being made, and they're actually good.
Erik Killmonger, Ulysses Klaw, the Dora Milaje and Man Ape! Just in this teaser! This is gonna be the best movie ever! If you would've told me a few years ago that the goddamn Man Ape would be featured in a Marvel movie, i would've straight up laughed in your face! Loudly! What a time to be a comic book fan!
That line where they say," It's hard for a good man to be a King" is a cyclical pay back to the end of the second Thor where Thor said," I'd rather be a good man than be a King".
When Kevin mentioned an "Uncle Ben" stand alone at 13:50, I lost my shit! Bruh, tell me why I *I THOUGHT HE MEANT THE RICE!!!!* xD I gotta watch the BP trailer again and pull myself together.
And now Kevin has pitched a crossover movie I wanna see - High tech yet traditional Wakanda vs Ancient Greek Warriors of Themescyra who may have access to magic items. Also, that scene with the dudes rolling up with a truck and AK's and guessing that's T'Challa (some saying it's a flash back of his dad) up in that tree like a damn predator was amazing. That whole scene might well be as good as Vader vs rebels in Rogue One.
you know what's a good sign. yall went to go deep dive by watching it twice and were almost equally as quiet! This teaser/trailer is so frick'n good! I'm so hyped!
Thats funny he said "Step into the spotlight" bc the music for the sound track by RTJ(RUN THE JEWELS) -Legend has it, has the line "step into the spotlight... WOOOOO" hahahahaha
I got you Kevin There shooting in South Korea and Atlanta Forest Whitaker plays Zuri a good friend and bodyguard of late T'Chaka. He's actually using the first Black Panther Bashenga Spear. Him and T'Challa are pretty close! Can see it being a argument- You wasn't there to protect him. T'Challa uncle Y'San might be in that circle, in the Throne room smh... Both of you, have a great day!
When Andy Serkis asks Martin Freeman,"What do you know about Wakanda?" I couldn't help thinking, Andy swapping riddles with this guy didn't end well last time.
I know it doesn't happen nearly as often as it should but Blade was the first black Marvel superhero character to have his own movie, three of them in fact. I can't believe they are making A Wrinkle in Time into a movie. What a bad idea. Trying to portray a character like Charles Wallace on screen with a very young child actor is going to be tremendously hard. A lot of the big name casting like Chris Pine, Reese Weatherspoon, and Zach Galifianakis seem wrong for the story too. Oprah Winfrey will be a problem as well because it's so hard to see her as anyone but herself that there's no way she'll be able to disappear into the role. The same might go for Mindy Kaling.
