Black Panther is my *#1* favorite character hands down in all of Comics, but I do not like the Ultimates version of him. They stripped away too many aspects to his character for me.
corey thomas You can tell they did that on purpose. I mean why tone him down but buff up Captain America and other characters, it was complete bs. Black Panther is not suppose to a sidekick to Captain America...just the look, sound and feel of it is obviously off.
The 1610 Ultimate Universe downplayed Black Panther way too much - they stripped away his title as King - they downplayed Wakanda's Technological advancements - they downplayed T'Challa's Master Martial Arts prowess - they don't showcase his Super Genius Intellect - they stripped away his Vibranium Suit and Weapons that Christopher Priest 1st established - they made him a mute - they made him a mutant clone of Wolverine - last but not least they turn Black Panther into Captain America's Sidekick...what kind of bs is that? You don't see Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Captian America, Iron Man or Wolverine as sidekicks...but they want to turn the 1st *Black* "Comic Book Superhero" into a sidekick when he never was before. It speaks volumes about whoever likes this idea.

One4allable Because Weapon X was a government program to create literal weapons for the US government like Wolverine. Wolverine was Weapon X (10) and etc...That’s why it seems pawn-ish. But I see where ya’ll are coming from

I dont understand all the hate for this version of BP. I like the tragic origin story for him and it makes his bond with captain America feel that much closer. He was essentially a slave taken from his country because shield/fury claimed him as property of the U.S. and while everyone else just accepted whatever explaination fury told them, Cap was like nah you kidnapped a kid, pumped him full of mutant juice and made him into a weapon.
Yea you're right most like myself are familiar with the 1616 or main Marvel universe , Ultimates universe influence for the films comes in forms like Sam Jackson Nick Fury who I love, Hawkeye, S.H.I.E.L.D and Spider-Man Homecoming which in my eyes is a big disappointment , but anywho amazing vid as always bro.

I wished Ultimate Cap would of survived, so he could of face off against Hydra Cap. I wanted that to happen since the beginning of secret Empire. I wanted him to say something like "There's the French, and then there's hydra!"
