The craziest thing about the whole lack of black hairstyles is that one trip to the barbershop can fix that whole problem. Most barbershop have over 50 different hairstyles and haircuts plastered on their walls. It's not hard.

I always wondered about that hairstyle, because I've never seen it in my life. At least not in recent years. The afro I can see if it's a game that takes place when that style was popular (1980s I think). Mafia 3, despite how bad of a game it was, at least made sense with Lincoln Clay's buzz cut since he had just returned from Vietnam

As a white dude myself, even I have noticed how ridiculously minimal black hairstyle options there are in character creators or just a staple for characters in general. Look at Kiros from Final Fantasy VIII, a minor character for sure but man that guys hairstyle was fucking cool man. Even his outfit, his fighting style, his weapons even were fuuuucking cool. A JRPG from 1999 was more inventive with a black character.

Game devs do know there's other haircuts out there. They don't have to copy and paste characters.

To be fair, Bangalore's hair that was shown here is from a skin. If you really want to show an example here from Apex Legends, go for Seer. He has the Killmonger hairstyle except it's overshadowed by his hat.

at first, i thought it was cool and was gonna roll in a new wave for black video game characters/avatars like U&I) have diverse hair styles but as soon they put that shit on Miles, i quickly grew it of it and no longer want that cut since it was my "dream haircut" when i was younger.

I like the style but i think miles having customisable hair styles was a missed opportunity, I wouldn’t mind this for peter too but he kinda has a canon look to it but since miles is fresh i think him being customisable is appropriate. ( i would put twists or box braids on him ngl.)
